"I was attempting to order 5/8" hook and hinge straps manufactured by Stanley/National Hardware. I wanted a hook larger than 1/2" and the 5/8" hook seemed ideal. However, after multiple vendor searches, I could not match the hook size of 5/8" to a specific hook and hinge set number. The dimensions for the hook and hook screw listed by a number of web sites were confusing. I contacted Hardware World via e-mail as their site had the best information and pricing. I asked them to confirm the model number and size of the hook I thought I needed. A nearly immediate response from Ivy at Hardware World provided a link to National Hardware's web site and the specific dimension page for the hinges I believed had the 5/8 inch hook. When the dimensions page showed the hook at .57 inches I had to question why it was not .625 inches (5/8 inch). Ivy again responded quickly to my question and the "nominal size" of .57 inch was National Hardware's 5/8 inch bolt. I placed the ordered on Wednesday 7/6/2011 specifying ground delivery to keep the cost down and received the order on Saturday 7/9/2011 (yes I said Saturday - not a standard Fedex or UPS delivery day). From their web site, to their customer service, low price and exceptional delivery time, I can only say other online retailers should be as good as Hardware World. "
