"send your money elseware. They refuse to answer the phone or respond to your e-mails (except to take your order).Completely dissatisfied"
"After reading the reviews, I guess that I was pretty lucky. They sent my order for 4 harps and a case. I got the order, but 2 of the harps were the wrong key and/or tuning in the right case. No response to email or phone. Send your money elsewhere."
"Took my money. No merchandise recieved. No response to my inquiries. This company sucks!!!!!"
"My wife bought me a melodica from Harp Depot for xmas. As soon as I saw it, I knew the keys were too small for my fingers. Withoug trying to play it, I returned it, as instructed by a Doc Belcher. They received it over four weeks ago, but I still have not received a refund. So presently they have both the instrument and my wife's money. They cannot be contacted by phone and will not answer emails. So I will now attempt to get the credit card charges reversed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY."
"Dishonest and incompetent. I ordered two harmonicas Jan 11. I reveived an "order confirmation receipt" by email. I never receved the harmonicas. I emailed several times. No reply. I called on January 26 and talked to Andrew, who was annoyingly indifferent and unhelpful. He told me the harmonicas were on backorder. I told him to cancel the sale immediately and send me an email confirmation confirming the cancellation, including a statement that they would not charge my credit card. I explained that if he did not send me a cancellation I would have to cancel my card, since they had all my information and the order was hanging out there. He assured me he would send a cancellation email immediately. From the tone in his voice I thought he was probably lying, and he was was. I received nothing. I just cancelled my credit card. I don't think Harp Depot got any money out of me, but 1. I had to play a gig without the harmonicas, and 2. I had to cancel my card, which means I will have to reset all the auto pays associated with that card. Big Hassle! Harp Depo (and Andrew) are disreputable. Don't do business with them!"
"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
Ordered a harp belt (Item HB6LWS) in November. It is now Jan 20/10 and after six emails to the company, still no response. Credit card debited Dec 8/09. If this company is real, they have a very strange way of doing business.
Also did a whois check. Harpdepot.com is registered to John Hall but the phone numbers are not his. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Also from the website company appears to ship from Ohio but registrant lives in Indiana?

"Beware. I ordered $90 worth of harmonicas from these guys. Harp Depot took my money but after almost three months I haven't received any merchandise. They won't answer phone calls or emails. The Better Business Bureau gives Harp Depot a rating of F. Search around the internet and you'll find that Harp Depot has been cheating customers for years.

"I read the comments from some of the customers and I viewed the over all rating of Harp Deot AKA Buckeye Leather Trading. IN my view, the unfavorable ratings and reviews are quite unjust. In the past 2 months I have ordered and received in quite a timely fashion, 7 leather chromatic belt pouches. 6 16 hole (2 in Rich Brown and $ inRich black. I also ordered and received a 10 hole pouch in rich black leather. True to the companys word ,they were here ahead of schedule, the orders were correct, the pouches are beautiful and fit my chromatics like a glove and I AM ONE happy CUSTOMER. i will return for further purchases from these fine folk, because they sell quality merchandise, they stand behind their products, they deliver on or in most cases, ahead of schedule and I like them. Sincerely. Richard Gordon"
"I ordered 4 harmonicas November 29, 2008. I received an automated "order received" e-mail the same day. My credit card was charged the same week. I never received my harmonicas. I tried e-mails, fax, telephone (2 different numbers), left messages...never any reply. I finally contacted my credit card company and asked to have the charges reversed. the credit card company contacted Harp Depot, but received no reply, so the charges were reversed. Four months later I finally got my refund."
"I ordered a hardshell accordion case from this company. The price was reasonable, and they state guaranteed customer satisfaction. I received my order in a timely fashion, but found it was not the correct item. I contacted them within two weeks to have them correct their mistake. Two phone calls (to which I got answering machines) and 10 e-mails (4 of which were bounced back) later over a period of a week, I still received no correspondence or attempt to correct the situation. All I asked for was the exchange for the correct item or for them to send a return shipping and handling label for me to ship the original case back. I finally called my credit card company and had the charge reversed back to them. As of June 1, I still have not heard a word. Be careful of these guys, they use many names and sites including Buckeye Trading Inc.(BTI), Harp Express, 1st-In-Harmonicas, Docs Guitar Depot, Docs Ukuleles, Docs Music Center, and Docs Music Resources. They do not follow through with what they claim on their website!"
