"I ordered a tankless water heater from Hechinger. After 2 weeks, they claimed the product number changed, so no progress on the order, they resubmitted the order. After another 2 weeks, again no progress on the order. I had to cancel the order and buy locally at a higher price due to lack of service from Hechinger."
"Ordered product online Dec. 1, 2007, paid immediately via PayPal. Dec 3, the order was canceled by Michelle Davis, Cancellation Specialist of Home Decor Products, Inc. , the parent company of Hechinger.
Repeated calls and emails stating I would receive a prompt refund-- resulted in no action. I had to file a PayPal dispute and complaint with the New Jersey Attorney General Office of Consumer Affairs.
Even then, I received an email from Tatiana Torres, Customer Service Representative saying that, "We will be more than happy to refund you for the amount of 700.99 today, but you will need to drop the dispute."
I did not drop the dispute, however, I did get my money back, 27 days later.
So much for Customer Service. I hope your Holidays went better than mine. "
