"Hello Direct has been my phone/headset go to company for 20 years. At one point I was buying thousands of dollars a year of equipment for a 250 call center I ran back then. I now own a small business and don't have the need as much, so I don't buy as often. In less than 5 years (last headset purchased) the attitude of the employees and the quality of service has fallen off the cliff. See Glassdoor and the reviews on this site. Terrible Makes me sad to see a once great company fall apart. I have read numerous reviews that share similar stories, so I know it's not a one time occurrence. I won't bore you with details, but let's just say they are not customer friendly any more. The new phone I purchased did not work properly. So, I returned it as they asked. New phone comes and works fine. However, a few weeks later I receive a call telling me that they cannot identify the phone properly because there is no sticker on the bottom of the phone. "It's how it came to me!!!" Like I'm going to peel off the sticker on the bottom of a phone. I received the phone i returned back in the mail yesterday. OMG They will not take any responsibility for the matter and now I have people from the company calling me to collect their payment. Seriously!!! So unprofessional as they are accusing me of trying to cheat them. I will never buy from them ever again. I will also be telling all of my Call Center friends to never buy from them again too. "
"I agree with other reviews that Hello Direct used to be a good company. I purchased a headset recently and it wasn't compatible with my phone system. I've been trying for three days to get an RMA to make the return. The poor women in charge of returns doesn't know how to issue an RMA. They have strict return policies, so maybe if they stall long enough they don't have to give a refund?? People blame Amazon for putting small businesses out of business. Well, how Hello Direct is handling this simple customer service request might just be the reason."
"hello direct used to be an amazing company with great service. Now they outsource everything. I bought a phone and a headset and neither work. Now i'm tracking down info from both companies to try to get replacements and figure out how to get them all to work again. I'm actually going to throw them both away. Ridiculous."
"My boss authorized a purchase of a headset for me. I was referred to Hello Direct by a co-worker. I ordered the headset on line. I received an e-mail with a confirmation number but no tracking number for shipment. I went out of town on business. I kept waiting, waiting, waiting. No head set. Eleven days later I called customer service at Hello Direct. I got some old guy on the phone. It felt like I was talking to a home based business selling out of their garage? I was told that there was a "system upgrade" and that he would "e-mail another facility" to expedite the process. I asked for an e-mail confirmation with a shipping tracking number. I did not receive an e-mail. So, I called this morning. The same man answered the phone. I asked about the e-mail tracking number I did not receive. I told him this was unacceptable. He told me to "quit yelling at him". I was frustrated but not yelling. He repeated the "system upgrade" story and told me that he was trying to find my order. This was the same order he supposedly forwarded? Then after I got upset again HE HUNG UP ON ME. I called American Express. Until the order is processed I could not reverse charges. So, I called Hello Direct AGAIN. I called sales to see if I could talk to ANYONE besides crazy old man. Nope. I have now been holding for 15 minutes while he tries to "find my order". When I told him that all of this was unacceptable he told me I was being "rude". Over fifteen minutes later they still can't find my order! "Steve" is going to call me back after he "escalates" the process to the person who can help? He said don't worry because they haven't shipped anything yet? Oh my gawd. I found the same product on Amazon.com for $63.65 less AND I got free shipping. And, I have yet to cancel my order with Hello Direct. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!"
"In 2010 I ordered a Jabra GO 400 piece of equipment from Hello Direct. The product is great and truly served my purpose as I have a small call center and many of the agents work from home. I ran into some issues once I had the blue tooth for several months. The ear that is to fit around your ear seemed to stretch; and simply did not stay snuggly on my ear as I talked on the phone to my clients. I called to let Hello know and they replaced the part. Here it is 6 mos later and the part has stretched out again...it just does not fit snuggly. As a call center owner, this is frustrating. I keep pushing the ear piece closer to my ear, holding it to my ear...all of this takes away from production. When I called to let the folks over at Hello know that there is a problem, the agent that answered the phone advised that his wife has one just like it and she never had a problem...I asked him if she ran a business or ran a house ? I just wanted him to compare apples to apples and not compare me to his wife because I a woman...no ones wife-just a business owner with a problem with your product.....He hung up. The bottom line: A product this costly should work much better ($400) yet, it is a piece of junk-the service-that blames the woman consumer for the problem-worse than junk "
"I've been ordering from Hello Direct for our office for over ten years and never, ever had a problem. Just today I was talking with a colleague and mentioned I was on a headset. He said he'd been meaning to try one and without hesitation I told him to call Hello Direct. I'm not easily impressed by most companies. But the stories on this board are not at all what I've experienced with Hello Direct. Especially the stories of misrepresentation. I've never had any issue with trustworthiness or honesty from them. We've done easily 20+ orders, all shipped on time and credited where we had returns. Not sure where those claims were coming from, but I would recommend Hello Direct without reservation. "Horrible company. Partly delivered orders, managers with rude attitudes, refund policy had to be enforced by my bank, and then continued to debit my debit card for items never received. DO NOT BUY FROM HELLO DIRECT."
"Buyer beware!
Very poor customer service in technical support. They do no follow-up with you, you have to intitate all phone calls.
They have a 30 day, 100% replacement policy. After the 30 days, (even though the problem was reported within the 30 day time frame), you enter into "a return for replacement" situation.
When you return an item for replacement, you are billed for that item. Ideally, all goes well and when they receive the defective item that cancels out the bill for the replacement. However, you don't know what is going on because they will not notify you that it has been returned, you have to call them and if for some reason they don't receive it you have to pay again.
Have you heard of email people? Easy, free method to communicate!
If I had a choice I would NOT buy from them. I am having an issue with the Jabra GN9350 wireless headset...and basically they don't have a clue what is going on and no 'fix' other then to do a 'reset' or replace the headset. I'll be trying again with my 3rd headset as soon as they ship it out to me.

"I ordered a GE phone from Hello Direct on a Monday and received it the following day. The sales person I dealt with was very helpful and the product I purchased met my needs. I got an immediate e-mail conformation and tracking information. The prices were good compared to other Web-based companies. I will use this company again."
"Hello Direct scams clients. They have high-pressure telemarketers phone clients. They convince clients to try headphone with no risk return. Client doesn't receive headset, then Hello Direct sends unit again. Hello Direct doesn't include return information, and delays responding to client calls for return information. Client returns headset; Hello Direct claims to not receive headset. Hello Direct makes continued contact with client for payment. Client provides proof of return, Hello Direct continues to harrass client for payment. Hello Direct then sends client to collections. BUYER BEWARE! Scandals and fraud from Hello Direct! AVOID!"
"Hello direct uses terrible business practices. We received a call offering us a free 2 week trial of their wireless headset device which they assured us would perform so well we would certainly agree to buy it for $300. We were skeptical but they assured us that we could return it with no obligation within the two weeks. We received the unit and decided right away that we did not want to keep it. We looked in the packaging for the return information but of course no information was provided about were to send it back to. We called several times to get the return address but no one could give us one. They intentionally ignored our messages and never contacted us with the return information. When we would call they would never give us an address. So we are stuck with this thing that we were told we could just try out. Then they started billing us for it and now they are suing us in court to pay for it. This is the WORST SALES and MARKETING SCAM we have encountered in the industry. DON’T BUY ANYTHING from them. Their products are overpriced and only have mediocre performance at best. DON’T TRUST A WORD THEY SAY. They will avoid you like the plaque. Just STAY AWAY or they will try SUING you as well. "
"I ordered a headset from hellodirect.com, and they shipped it asap. I'm planning on ordering 18 more for my company today."
