COMPLETE SCAM!!! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!! Look them up on the BBB, they have an *F* rating. There are constant complaints against this place. Once you complain, they block your phone number and delete your emails. I ordered two parts )$172.96) on April 13, 2010. Have not received anything, and am now being denied a response or communication with the company. I ordered an Range Oven control board and a Range sensor and paid via bank debit card which was charged on my account immediately. I did not receive any product or notice of delivery for two full weeks when I called Helpful Items main line number and I was told I would receive an email the next day with a tracking number. I never received this email, but I waited until the next week (this week) to call again. The call rang through to a voicemail box and I left a message asking for an immediate response. None came. Repeatedly now I receive only a "busy signal" type of tone and then the call is dropped, or hung up on. I am now requesting through the BBB an immediate refund of my money or I will be proceeding to local media in Texas and small claims court."
"Ordered item 4/4/10 and my credit card was immediately billed for item. On 4/9/10 I called and spoke with owner of company to check on order. He told me it would ship via USPS Priority mail on 4/11. It should have taken no more than two business days to arrive. On 4/14, I called again about status to find item was not shipped yet. This time I was told they messed up and it would go out that day. Waited three buiness day without arrival. Called again on 4/18 and Customer Service Rep said she would get back to me with an update on status. She called back later but did not leave any info. on my voice mail. When I returned call, no one answered their phone. Called again 4/19 twice (they appanently screen their calls) and found that the item still had not shipped. Frustrated by now, I immediately cancelled order and now find that it will take them 7-10 days to credit my account. Did I mention that they billed my credit card immediately upon order placement? This company is incompetent..."
"We ordered on 7/7/09 and finally received the goods damaged on 8/4/09. We have had about 20 telephone conversations with them, and have received evasions. Buying from them has been my worst e-commerce experience ever! From what they tell me themselves, it sounds like they are insolvent. They admit they don't have credit with shipping companies, and have to pay their freight in cash. One of their excuses was their driver stole the freight money for our consignment and took our product to his home! That came four days after they claimed they shipped our product! Doesn't sound very professional! Today is 9/11/09 and we are out almost $700 - and we don't have the product either!"
"Placed an order for electronic cooktop which was about %20 cheaper than the next lowest price. Was a bit nervous due to the absence of store ratings but decided to risk it.
Turn out to be a no problem purchase. Shipping was a bit slow but they were not promising fast shipping anyway. Cooktop came is perfect shape. I just ordered vent hood for it from this store."
