horrific online experience

"purchased an in stock flash and some rechargeable batteries. took 8 days just to get an email saying that part of my order had been shipped. still waiting over16 days later for my flash. could have ordered it from a number of other online resellers and gotten in within a week. such horrific service"

nonexistent customer service

"I placed an order on November 14th and as of today (Dec 29) I am still waiting to hear back. needless to say, the order has not been satisfied and no one has responded to me. If you can't fulfil the services you are offering for whatsoever reason, then do not offer it or take orders from people. The customer service has been nonexistent. I have tried to call 3 times. twice I was on hold for over 70 minutes to no avail. once I tried the "call back option" and never received a call back.

Henrys no service

"Ordered a large HD. No shipping after a week. CS never answered the phone, twice after 20" (app) waiting . Could not even leave a message or call back number. 2 phone calls to their B&M Store. Told sorry we can't get into the on-line system. Then she said should would check and get back to me. Never happened. Losy lied to me. 2nd call - i was told not in stock & no idea when the will get stock. Completely useless waste of my time. I have bought thousand of dollars in camera equipment from them, in store, over the last few years. Not in future. "

Never buy anything from them

"Never buy anything from this store. Specially online. They are selling products, that they don't even have it in store. I bought $8017 worth of products and it took months for them to ship it. That is after sending so many e mails. I still did not receive my complete order and now it is two months since the day I made the order. When I contacted them, they don't even know the exact day that they will receive the items from their suppliers. This is really scaming people. Their customer service line is not responding at all. Nobody answer the calls. They said, it is due to COVID. but in Canada all the other companies are operating as usual and it is not acceptable that they made us buy products that they didn't even have it at store at first place."

Unacceptable delays, poor service

"I ordered a lens online from Henry’s. I could have purchased the same item on Amazon.ca for 10$ less and free one-day shipping. I guess I was trying to encourage a local Canadian company, but this was a terrible idea. First, it took Henry’s 10 days to process my order (charge my credit card) and another 7 days to ship the item. It took another 2 weeks for Canada Post to deliver my item!
Total: almost 5 weeks for a lens to leave Scarborough (Ontario) to be delivered to Ottawa (Ontario)! Impossible, unacceptable delays. Of course, the only thing Henry’s can say is that they are a family run business, which means nothing to me.
I then tried to return the item, and this was not easier. They avoided answering my emails, did not provide correct information, so I ended up keeping the lens. Such a waste of time. Never, never will I ever buy again at Henry’s.

Worst Customer Service and even worse retailer

"Bought a tripod over a month ago, received an order confirmation day of and haven't heard from them since. Reached out today only to find the product was on back order and that the website "sometimes" has incorrect inventory. Now I have to wait a week for my refund. Blown away that in 2021 a retailer could be this bad!

Do Not Honour Their Price Matching Claim

"Henry's likes to brag that they price match and will give you an additional 10% of the difference. Don't believe it. I found a $420 difference on a battery grip, which means they should have matched the price and reduced it by an additional $42. I contacted them via their online setup and chatted to a Scott. He refused to honour the price match, stating that it is for in-store only and in any case, they would not honour such a large difference anyway. This is contrary to their published terms and conditions and I asked him if he arbitrarily makes the terms up as he goes along, which he clearly does, no response. Long story short, I saved screenshots of the differences and gave them an opportunity to respond. They haven't. I am their perfect demographic for sales. But given this experience, they will not see a dollar from me. If you cannot adhere to your own terms and conditions then don't expect me to trust you."

Will they honour their online transactions? They don't answer calls.

"Ordered an expensive camera on line, believing they were a reliable local option. That was a mistake. Not aware, at the time that they in serious financial trouble. They're was no shipping notice, so I tried to inquire. Phone answering service asks that customer, leave message or use email. No reply by phone. Got a short email reply claiming that they were waiting on their suppliers for deliver, BUT no indication when. Sent more emails and made more calls but in vain.
Tried to cancel credit card payment, BUT here you have to beware. The credit card companies do not work entirely in your favor. You have until they take the money off your card and then they have 15 days, after which you can complain to credit cards (but no promises of resolution). Lousy Customer Service - Cocky, Couldn't Care Less If You Never Came Back

"I ordered online and waited and waited. Other than saying they received my order and taking my money from my card, they didn't do anything. I followed up after days went by and they told me they didn't even have what they sold me, despite it showing in stock. No apologies, they acted as if they were doing me a favour - they said they are taking care of orders for things they have in stock right now, and when they get stock they will ship mine, but they have no idea when that will be.
I complained about it and they didn't care at all - again, no apology, nothing. Their attitude was if you want to wait then wait, otherwise we'll just cancel your order.
I have bought on and off from them for 30 plus years - no more. The last time I emailed they didn't even bother to respond. Don't take a chance, buy from a store that cares about their customers. Clearly Henry's Photo has gotten too big.

"Henry's put my order on hold but has charged 1400 dollor from my visa card. Try every sigle method to get in touch with them but no respond at all."

I couldn't ask for better customer service!

"Ordered 2 cameras from Henry's online store. I screwed up on the address and they fixed it for me right away no hassle. I then had an issue with one of the cameras, and they replaced it for me right away and provided amazing customer service. After we bought the cameras they went on sale a few days later, they refunded me the difference.

All of my future purchases will be going through Henry's

HORRIBLE customer service

"I experienced a major problem with an order due in part to a system failure on their part. I have been following it up for months, and now they are refusing to recognize that I payed cash for the order which never arrived, even though I have an invoice in hand marked “paid in cash”. Honestly “horrible customer service” is a best case scenario. Worst case = they are a bunch of scam artists. "

"6th phone call to the Customer Support Centre, 2 voicemails and 3 emails (which go to different address they keep giving me) NOBODY IS REPLYING OR PICKING UP THE PHONE.

I’ve now emailed Nikon Canada Support with this shitshow and asked why can’t we buy from you directly but the US can?
