"I've spent so much money on crochet kits from this company. Besides the poor yarn quality and errors in patterns, this company does not provide quality kits and does not stand behind their own products. The last 2 afghan kits I purchased did not have enough yarn (by a long stretch) to finish the afghan. In both cases, after providing proof of purchase, the company refused to supply the missing yarn or offer any apology, much less a discount on a future purchase. If they can't back up their own products, why should we trust them? I haven't ordered from them in 3 years, and will not do so in future."
"Herrschners sells much of the same yarn as other companies, however their shipping costs are much too high. With other companies, you get a break on shipping for large orders, but at Herrschners , you just spend MORE on shipping. This is not an incentive to place large orders. There is no free shipping, no matter how much you spend. Again, this doesn't encourage me to buy yarn for a large project here. Further, the shipping is slower than usual, and not easy to track. They use an "odd" shipping method. I crochet to relax, and shopping here almost always results in my NOT feeling relaxed ! - so I will avoid this one, and get my yarn at Yarnspirations, Walmart, Amazon, Webs, Premiere, Lion Brand, Hobii, Hobium, Ice Yarns, . Wake up, Herrschners, you are losing your largest orders to fairer companies. "
"I ordered a "mystery bag" for $19.99. What I received was hideous. I contacted them regarding returning the yarn and was told that I would have to pay for the return myself. There are plenty of other sources for yarn, I suggest you not buy from Herrschners."
"Ordered yarn from them and got my UPS tracking info. At the last minute, UPS handed off my package to the USPS office which is only open M-F, 9-5. I work 30 miles away so no way to pick it up. When I called to ask to have the package returned to them, they flat out refused. Basically, they stole my money and just dropped the ball. RJ, the customer (dis)service rep, is both mentally disabled and rude."

A year after, I decided to give it another try as I received a 20% coupon. I made a purchase thinking it was still .ca as I followed the link in the email. To my suprise, I ended up paying a large amount in duty as it came from the US. What a rip off! They've lost me as a customer for good!"
"I bought a nativity cross stich item. They wanted $10.90 USD for delivery within the United States which I thought was rather expensive. the item arrived and it was nothing as they had described in their catalogue, in actual fact it had most of the picture missing. They claimmed it was because of the size I had bought. It was misleading. So we sent it back. the return postage was $5.20 USD, sent first class and with a tracking number. Based on the cost of the postage paid to return the item, I could prove that they had charged more than 100% in postage initially; exorbitant. Also, in view of the fact the item was in fact described incorrectly and misleading, they should have paid for the return cost of postage. I wrote to customer service yesterday, but they did not want to know or offer to reimburse any of the costs of postage. Their response was that they will forward my complaint to the correct department. So please be warned. the prices they are charging for postage and handling are exorbitant. they are making a lot of money like that which is not fair on the customer. I am very dissappointed!"

First I received an email that the order was shipped and the next day I checked the tracking number and it was delivered to Herrschener, so order was cancelled. Sent email and called Customer Service, they never responded to my email and the phone is always busy. I did receive a refund but would like to know why it was cancelled. "I bought a latch hook rug kit and when I started doing it I found they hadn't given me enough yarn. So I called them to ask for the missing yarn. They told me I would have to buy it. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of stuff from them over the years and this is how they treat me ! The kit was short of yarn they should have gladly sent me the yarn. "I ordered some wool on feb 8 2019 and was told it would be a max of 3 weeks to ship. Now mar 15 2019 I have still not received even so much as an email that it was shipped. I have inquired twice and received 2 differant answers as to delivery length.

"I ordered 4 skeins of yarn from Willow Yarns to make a cowl . I knitted with 3 skeins and I wound the the 4 th skein and picked It up to continue my knitting and it did not match the other 3 skeins . I called customer service the next day and was told they do not guarantee dye lots ! I was so flabbergasted and livid and angry that I could not even think straight. I took a picture and emailed customer service Chasta and she emailed me back that she would refund me for the one skein . Are you kidding me ? I talked with a person in customer service at Herrschners and she refunded my money for 4 skeins .I am beyond upset , I put hours of knitting in this project . I will never buy from this company Willow Yarns ,which is a branch of Herrschners or Herrschners and will inform all my knitting friends of their dye lot attitude. Removed $5 coupon from the qualifying order without notification of changes.
They couldn't fill the original order.
They created a new order and charged my credit card without authorization because I didn't create the new order nor did I authorize a new order."
"I would give this company Herrschners.ca -1 stars if I could. I placed an order on Oct 7, when I hadn't received it I wrote and found out that the order comes from the US. No where on their Website did it mention that the yarn came from the US. Finally received it Nov 1. Order 10 balls of yarn received 9. Wrote the company and they said they would ship the missing yarn. Heard nothing so I wrote again Nov 15 was told the yarn was shipped on Nov 9 and was given a tracking #. I checked the tracking # everyday for a week - nothing finally wrote again (through PayPal) and was told the shipments were being held because of the Rotating Strike. Waiting, waiting, finally wrote on Friday and asked for the correct Tracking # - heard nothing. Opened a Paypal Claim last night - first thing this morning they are on the phone to me saying they'll refund my $6 IF I closed the Paypal claim. The missing yarn was never sent - they have been giving me the round-around for nearly a month - the order will be 2 months old on the 7th. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE IN CANADA - "
"I'm going to assume there are new owners of this company. My recommendation, do NOT buy from this company online. I would rate them 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend placed an order back on April 8th and we never received a notice saying that the shipment has been sent. A month later (May 7th), we decided to follow up on our order and they then FINALLY gave us a tracking number. The tracking number says that the order was delivered on April 23rd. The order was never delivered and there was no chance of it being stolen. I am constantly ordering things online and have NEVER had any issues.. We contacted Chantress (Apparently their only Customer Service person) again about the issue and their response was "Contact CA Post for more information". Alright, fine. Did that... When I contacted Canada Post they said the sender (Herrschners) needed to open the claim to say the package is missing. I literally did all the work of starting the claim, they just had to confirm it. Herrschners response to that was "We cannot contact CA post from our US location. As this order states it has been delivered, there is nothing more we can do. The only suggestions we have is to dispute the charge with your credit card company." What kind of customer service is that??????????? "There's nothing more we can do." Pardon? Pick up the phone and confirm the claim. Not that hard.... The conversation went on literally for weeks about the issue and they are still refusing to refund our money or resend the package. Oh, and their email response time is a full 24 hours, if they respond to you at all. Any reputable company would be willing to make sure their clientele is happy. Long story short, this company is scamming people. I refuse to believe that they even shipped the package to begin with. Do NOT buy online from this company if you value your money, because you won't get your product. Now we're out money, that we didn't really have to spend in the first place AND don't have our crafts to do!!!! Extremely disappointed and will never be ordering from this company again.
