"On 13 October, I made an order for Hammer Race Day Boost to use in a race in November. I didnt really need them, but it said spend $150 for Express Postage so I also bought Gu Energy Chews, and Hammer Endurolyte Fizz.
Shipping was Express Post, but after waiting 2 weeks, and with no communication, I emailed again on 24 October asking for a tracking number. Only then, after me contacting them, did they say that the Race Day Boost was out of stock but would be back in a couple of weeks. It did not say out of stock on the website, otherwise i wouldn't have ordered them as i needed them in November. They then sent the Gu Chews and Endurolyte Fizz, but I had to wait for the Race Day Boost. (I actually bought from another retailer and received a few days later).
On 21 November I emailed asking about the Race Day Boost. I had no response to my email. I emailed again on 27 November, with no response. 7 December I emailed again. Awaiting a response. Like other reviewers here, I dont like to leave negative reviews, I understand running a retail business can be tough, but their customer service is terrible. A response would be nice. "
"I placed my order on a Friday, rang them on the Tuesday re stock and availability and was told stock would arrive the following day and it would be sent the same day. I received it on the Thursday as promised. Thank heaps "
"I visited the shop on Saturday 20th July and enquired as to whether Robert could get me a pair of Garmin Vector 3 power pedals.
Robert was very friendly and of course could get the pedals for me and they would be ready for collection on Tuesday 23rd July, wonderful i thought, that's efficient and the price, very reasonable.
Tuesday arrived and unfortunately my pedals didn't.
Never mind I thought, i'll ask my wife to call into the shop and see when the pedals would be in. So 2 year old child in tow my wife arrived at the store and enquired as to when the pedals would be in, "Thursday and we'll give you a ring when they come in". Great, I'll get them for the weekend.
So Thursday arrives and, unfortunately my pedals....dont!! (and no phone call with an update/apology or commitment as to when the order might be fulfilled).
7days goes by and no call, or contact from Robert or his staff at Highly Tuned Athletes as to the status of the order. By now Robert has had my money ($1,299) for 13days.
My wife, quite alarmed, calls into Highly Tuned Athletes and enquires as to an update.
“Tomorrow” says Robert.
Guess what, yes thats right, still no pedals.
So its the 3rd August (14days after Robert took my money) and by now I’ve had enough and decide to cancel my unfulfilled order.
So I ring Robert on the 3rd and get to talk to one of his Highly Tuned staff! The response, “I’m not permitted to offer a refund as this has to be authorised by our accounts department, i’ll get them to call you too process this”
Pop quiz…did i get a phone call?
No, I didn’t.
On the 5th August (16days after Robert took my money) I send an email seeking an immediate refund and detailing the reasons why and seek the refund be processed on the 6th August, when the the store re-opened.
I followed up on the 6th, and by now am really concerned Robert would never commit to a refund and would have effectively committed theft.
“accounts aren't into today, they will ring you on the 9th August to process the refund, i can’t do it, I'm not authorised” (Robert, you are the owner of the store, well thats what your LinkedIn profile says? surely as the owner you have the power to process refunds).
So now its the 9th August (20days after Robert took my money) and at 3pm I crack and have to call the shop to find out what’s happening as, thats right, not one from “accounts” has contacted me!
I’m thinking now to myself that maybe accounts don’t actually exist or they are just trained in customer service Robert!
Anyway after 20mins of waiting on hold!! (good one Robert, your a real pro at this customer service game) Robert comes back on the phone and lets me know that no refund could be processed unless I submit a formal email request containing my bank details, if i do this they would process the request that day. (why didn’t you just say this on the 6th August when I rang, you *&$##)
needless to say, I send the email and the refund isn't processed as promised.
Numerous attempts to call after the 9th August resulted in "number busy”.
A last ditch attempt was made by me sending Robert a formal letter, listing out in detail the events and attaching copies of 3emails sent previously. I posted this on the 17th August (28days after Robert stole my money).
Fast forward to today, 22nd August, when after a month, 3 emails, numerous phone calls (not from Robert or his team to me!!) but from myself to Robert, I finally receive my refund.
"But who from” i hear you say? It came from Robert Grinter himself, not a business account or company name, but the very same man who said he wasn’t authorised to process a refund.
The moral of the story….
Don’t go near the place, commit to buy or buy anything as he’s a thief and a liar. (oh BTW thats his photo just in case you do see him and want to know what a thief looks like)"
"I have never felt compelled to leave a review on a business before, however, I feel consumers should be informed about this specific business. I purchased a HR monitor/smart watch through these guys in late December 17, with an expected delivery in mid to late January 18. This was delayed several weeks, this wasn't really an issue, but the lack of any customer support or information was. This carried on until mid February, in the end they couldn't give a delivery date and when I rang, they said I could call the supplier myself to obtain one. at this point, I asked for my money back. After another 2 weeks of them not responding to emails, I have had to try to obtain my money back through my bank, as these guys have said it was paid at their end, however, no money has been returned to my bank account. they also wont provide a receipt or transaction number for the return of the money. the next step for me is to call the consumer watch dog, because the lack of customer service is truly that poor. I have no doubt if you went into their store and purchased something off the shelf, you would have no dramas, however, their online purchases lacks realistic delivery dates, customer service and, in my experience, any effort to return your money after they fail to deliver.

"If you try order anything from this site they promote express shipping on all items and if ordered before 3pm it will be shipped out the same day. I purchased a GoPro Hero 4 Silver through their ebay store and granted it was after 3pm I expected it to be shipped out the following business day. After waiting two business days with no indication the item had been sent, I sent a message querying whether this had been sent as it had an ETA of no more than 5 business days from receipt of payment (according to THEIR terms and conditions of postage) They came back advising this item had a handling time of 10 business days...! I then went on to express that I needed this item in the stipulated time frame they advertised and that this is not acceptable and would receive the appropriate feedback. They then cancelled my purchase 2 days out from when it was supposed to be delivered. After further investigation in their feedback history I noticed this is not an isolated incident with people waiting in excess of 17 days on an item that they listed as available with express postage...
If you like myself need an item in less than 2 weeks then don't be deceived by this express BS. If you are willing to wait that long you may as well order from overseas at a cheaper price
Since I was unable to leave feedback due to cancellation, let me draw your attention to what others have said (which can be found in their feedback section of their ebay store) Like many others I was quick to bypass looking at what others were saying and drawn solely to the price:
Item never arrived, money not refunded. Seller no longer responding to emails.

Deeply unhappy with shipping. I waited for 17 days. Longer than oversea sellers.
