Near perfect experience, except that the packing could have been better. The trailer hitch was placed into a big box without any bubblewrap, popcorn, paper, whatever to take up the space to protect the hitch. The box was compromised at certain areas where the trailer hitch was pushing up against and those exposed areas of the hitch were scuffed up and the paint was scraped off, exposing bare metal. I will have to do a quick bit of painting before installing the hitch, to safeguard against rusting."

"The hitch that I purchased went together very fast. Had to loosen the mufflers by removing he rubber mounts but after that the hitch fit like a glove. Pay attention to the length of the bolts to make sure you put them in the proper locations. They are difficult to pull back out after installing. "Complaint Category: Failure to honor refund, exchange or credit policies

Complaint: Order was cancelled by company 4/21/2014 and refund promised. No credit has been issued and companies policy is to issue refund within 24-48 hours.
I ordered a trailer hitch from on 4/14/14 and they state delivery usually within 3-4 days. I did not receive a confirmation so I called them on the 21th. They advised that they did not have the product in stock and would not have it .I requested that they cancel and stop the credit card charge. They did cancel the order and advised by email but the charge of $289.07 was charged to my credit card. I looked up their company policy on refunds and it states refunds issued in 24-48 hours. I have emailed them twice as to why a credit has not been submitted I have sent 2 emails and they will not respond. I have copies of all the emails and can submit if necessary. Most companies do not charge your credit card until they have the product to ship and they also did not notify during the ordering process that they did not have the item I was purchasing. I really became concerned when I saw that they have an F rating on the BBB site. Yesterday I informed them if they did not respond within 24 hours I would file this complaint: they did not respond

"This company delivered the item to my door via FedEx within 36 hours of my order. The product was as described and I have no issue with the seller at all.

However, the hitch itself was disappointingly less than expected in terms of fitting my vehicle. A 20 minute job took nearly 2 hours and required 2 hydraulic jacks, 2 people and a pair of drift pins to spread the framework and force it into place. The hitch was built 3/8 inch too narrow. Once it was spread it fit fine.

Once installed it is quite adequate, but it was a pain to install. I have mounted many in my time, this is my first, and probably last Curt. I'll go back to Drawtite."
