"'ordered a Hidden hitch for my 1999 Honda Odyssey. Shipped out the next morning ,came to my remote island for free in I think five days. I've installed it by myself in about 15 -20 minutes(just get some 6" blocks to support it close to where it goes and then You can lift one side about an inch to start getting the screws in.The manual says lower the exhaust but it is not really necessary either -I've unhooked just the rearmost rubber support,the exhaust dropped perhaps an inch not more and since I was lazy to crawl under the car to unhook more I've figured it looks like enough space and it was plenty- perhaps an inch more than was necessary)
My screw holes were pretty clean so i did not clean them either with no ill effects. Oh did I mentioned it is a Hidden hitch? That's right it means it is solid came undamaged not even scratch (not that it is not gonna get one real soon in real life.)
Compared to the hitch installation the wiring hook up was where the real work begun. On Odyssey the harness connector is not laying loose behind the paneling but is plugged into a little magic box so it is not readily identifiable and it is not obvious (nor in instructions that came with the harness) that it should be pulled out. But in fairness I did not get the harness from HitchAnything as I had it already ordered when I stumbled upon HitchAnything website and was delighted to discover prices mortals can actually pay combined with free shipping. Those guys just made my month.Of course like most online retailers they asked me to rate the product but in this case it was really unnecessary as I was aching to share my satisfaction anyway. Now I just hope the car won't let the hitch down."
