"Buyer BEWARE!!! Our son just received his commercial helicopter pilots license and we wanted to surprise him with a drone from Hobbytron. He was excited to charge it up and try it out, but after over 30 hours on the charger, two of the engines did not work. We tried to contact Hobbytron to return it. After finally getting a response and obtaining their required RMA number, they stated that they do not do returns, only exchanges and you have to pay shipping charges. Here is their letter:

This item was over $136.00 and we are hesitant to invest any more in shipping for another possible dysfunctional drone that we could get stuck in the same situation. Avoid this company! We are so disappointed and feel ripped off by a questionable company. "No Customer service .. I bought a quad copter and out of the box it does not work. Well I have emailed and called many times with NO RESPONSE !! Do not buy from this site! "This Hobbytron is a rip off shipped me a used front end loader Rc construction toy. Item was thrown into a box nothing tied down by the factory tie downs. Nothing secured. Used and broken. No battery charger for the rechargeable batteries. The included AA batteries were taken out of the wrapping and installed in the remote and dead all used up. This is a used broken $184.00 worthless toy that was for my grandson. They don't answer their customer service phone. I called 36 times. They don't call back when you leave messages. 26 messages. Emails come back undelivered. Their live chat is dead chat it does not work. I'm stuck with a piece of junk broken toy missing parts to allow it to maybe operate Stay away. RIP OFF ALERT. STAY AWAY. The battery packs where missing on one of the cars with a broken antenna, and the other RC had a broken battery back.

And on top of that.. Someone in South Carolina received my credit card information and tried to purchase using my account. I would never recomend dealing with HobbyTron.
Lets see how long it takes them to respond to my email and voicemail... if customer service has changed.. i will update.

"Here is my limited experience: ordered a helicopter for my kid. Doesn't work. Return it. Replaced with another one. Doesn't work. Return it. I've now spent in shipping as much as the price.
But I soldier on, order three items for Christmas a week out. Am guaranteed they'll be there. It is Christmas now in fact. They are not here.
I have tried to reach them by email and phone for days. Screw me apparently.
This company is terrible. Stay away. "

"I bought three refurbished Hercules outdoor Helicopters. ALL THREE arrived broken!! None of Them would fly. One of them, the on/off switch was missing, the other ones rotor blades were installed wrong and didn't come with the correct ones so it would not fly and also came with the wrong transmitter!! and the last one looked like it was run over. Broken and bent rotor blades, broken and bent landing gear, heavily scratched. I bought 2 New replacement bodies, they were used and scratched, same as the three extra batteries purchased with the helis. It's quite obvious that they didn't tests these before they shipped them out. They shipped me strait Broken GARBAGE!!!
The only thing that was new, were the wall plugins, and the 3 packages of replacement blades I bought to go with. This is my first Rodeo with Hobbytron, and will certainly be my LAST.

Let's not fail to mention how I had to pay for return shipping of $27.00 and fight to get an RMA #
So not only am I out the $160 for three broken Helicopters and $27.00 for shipping. But I have not heard back from them, so now I have absolutely nothing to show for the $190.00 spent.

You know what the worst part is?!? That was all the money I had for Xmas! I bought these for my dad who's dying of cancer you sons of b*tches!!!! He can't walk, so these we're going to be perfect for my Brother, Dad and myself to do something Together!!! I honestly wish I had of looked further into the online reviews before I purchased from them, instead of falling for the FAKE reviews on their website. The fact that this is common practice for them and that they have no problem ripping of hard working people is truly wretched. I fell for the "Google trusted" LIE!!!
I've lost faith in Google, and it's truly obvious that they only care about their advertising bottom dollar, that "Googles trusted Stores" Is nothing but BS.... I'm so disgusted, upset, disappointed and totally heart broken. Thank Hobbytron, Thanks for Nothing!

"Won't buy Wordtech or Hobbytron again! I received a World Tech Toys (hobbytron) RD helicopter for Christmas. My first flight the gyro head broke. I ordered it on amazon but it was misrepresented and was the wrong one. Amazon got me a refund. I called the reseller and manufacturer 3 times and spoke to 3 people before I figured out on my own that they were the same company. I told them that I needed to buy the parts for my RC copter. They told me that they were out of stock and they are getting new parts in all the time. My first order was in January and 10 months later, no parts. They "talked to the parts guy" and he had one left "in the back" they charged my credit card and I never received it. They aren't returning my emails, Surprise! Won't buy Wordtech or Hobbytron again!"
