"Terrible customer service, a return process from the stone age and poor terms and conditions. Bought an item on sale, needed to return it, but was told since it was on sale they could only issue an in store credit. Customer service rep, who for his livelihood I will keep him nameless, was rude and only would repeatedly say "when you hit the submit order button, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions." Was a completely canned response, because I am sure others have complained about this. Plus you need to call to get a return number and follow their process to a T or risk getting no refund/store credit. Will never buy from again. Terrible terms and conditions, customer service and return process for an online merchant."

"Purchased two CCM hoodies, one with what I think is an authentic tag and the other one just had a white tag that said “Made in Pakistan”. No other tags. When I called customer service they wanted me to send pics which I did for them to then say they are both authentic items. Now...I just contacted CCM themselves and sent them pics so we will see; however, I think we all know what they will say. So HockeyMonkey is selling knockoff apparel at regular authentic prices. Beware!!"

"They will not cover shipping for returned items. I probably should have read the fine print before buying skates. I get it, you don't do returns, but don't verbally junk punch the customer square in the coin purse with an idiotic justification like this little snippet of blantant douchebaggery: (and i quote)

"Never received my order! Called and found out it was shipped back and never delivered. Went to a UPS hub and I was never notified. I asked for it to be shipped back to me. Waited a week. Called again. It still hadn't shipped!! Was told it will go out today. We'll see. Meanwhile, they have my money. Will never never never order from this company again!"
"Absolutely the worst online sporting store I’ve ever dealt with. Purchased a pair of skates only to receive the wrong size. Upon returning for refund they will not refund shipping cost as well as I was forced to pay $25 at my own expense to ship the item back to them. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with! If you purchase from this company I promise you will be highly dissatisfied! "
"Terrible customer service, gimmicky rules, and they don't stand behind their products. You're free to waste as much money as you want in their store or on their site and not get quality worth a flip or even half decent service. Their skate sharpening isn't done right either, and even their website needs help. It seems like they hire just any pulse that walks through the door wanting a job too. Today was their last chance to redeem themselves and didn't so I'm done with them. Good riddance."
"I traditionally shop at InlineWarehouse, which has great customer service, but these guys were having a sale and I figured I'd give it a shot. BIG mistake!
I ordered a standard Alkali shaft and some Bauer blades. There was an issue with a defective hosel on the shaft and the blades would not fit. This company refused to refund me for the shaft despite their product being defective.
I will never shop with this company again and I suggest that you avoid doing so."
"I should have looked at the reviews before purchasing off of the site. The prices are very similar to the NHL shop, but Hockey Monkey had a 25 percent markdown on all jerseys during Labor Day so I ordered a birthday present for my husband. Unfortunately, I had an issue and after the initial conversation, it was like pulling teeth trying to get any further correspondence from the rep. Even if the news wasn't in my favor, I would have appreciated feedback versus waiting idly regarding the original issue. Buy your jerseys on an official site, you'd get better quality, and service overall."
"Hockey Monkey is a joke! My son got a certificate for $20 for being named to a all-star team at a national Tournament and the the credit can't be used towards shipping ($7.99) and to top it off no other promotional discounts can be used! So his $20 award is really a $7 award. If you wanted to buy a $100 Stick and they were offering 25% off for Labor Day you are better off just burning the award certificate and taking the promo. Way to screw kids out of there awards, or should I say there parents out of there hard eared money.

"The description for the shoulder pads said size LARGE is for a child 4'11" - 5'4". When the pads arrived, they said on them LARGE 4'7"-4'11". Obviously too small. The return policy says 'Return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to our warehouse) is like or comparable to your cost of driving to any store for returning an item, which is not reimbursable. "I have never reviewed a company on-line. However, my recent experience with HockeyMonkey was so terrible, I am compelled to do so. I purchased compression pants for my son. When they did not fit, I tried to exchange them. First, I had to wait on-hold for 10 minutes in order to get an RA number. When I finally reached someone, the customer service representative whom I spoke with said I could not return the pants. He said the policy was clearly displayed. When I pointed out that the policy in fact was not clearly displayed, he merely dismissed me, saying that I could order another (non-returnable) pair of pants if I wanted. No thank you! I will never order from this company again - and wish I had looked at the customer reviews (all terrible) before ordering the first time. There are so many better hockey retailers out there!
