"We used HomeAdvisor to find a handyman for work on my elderly parents' home. The contractor, listed on HomeAdvisor as being in business since 2001, licensed and insured was a FLY BY NIGHT non-licensed and insured contractor whom SCAMMED my parents!! To top it off, we tried to report this contractor to HomeAdviser on NUMEROUS occasions but no one every returned our calls. We attempted to post our detailed negative review on the HomeAdvisor sight 12.06.2017 but the status to this day remains "pending" when other, favorable reviews post within days!! We are looking into filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals office in the state of Kansas to see if action can be taken against HomeAdvisor for their unconscionable act under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. They are CLEARLY profiting off of contractors and complicit in the deceptive business practices. BE CAREFUL, especially when using this service to assist the elderly!!!"
