"More should be done to screen pros for service areas and availability, particularly depending on size of job. E.g. my experience has been that an upstate NY pro might list my downstate NY city as being within his service area but that changes depending on the project. In other words, I think you could waste a lot of time on this site looking for pros if you have a relatively small, even Handyman-type project. And, unlike the quick online appointments that are set up, these pros are usually not available for quick appointments to review the project and are even less available to do a small project in less than a few weeks or month or more timeframe."
