Shop Elsewhere - Not Trustworthy

"Placed an order for a sidebar. They charged my credit card. I heard nothing for weeks so I tried to contact them. The is no telephone customer service. You cannot talk to a person! They responded to my email with a tentative ship date of March 4-10. On March 17th I received an email the order was cancelled - still no refund!!"

Unhappy!

"This company takes no responsibility for the quality of the product they sell and their return policy is unreasonable.

I understand that Homesquare is a third party vendor of this product. However, the quality of the product they are selling is sub-standard. The poor craftsmanship of the joinery in this furniture makes it impossible to assemble. The dowel joints do not align, the size of the dowels are at least 1/8” smaller than the holes they fit into, making an unstable joint, many dowels are not squarely aligned preventing them from fitting the opposite hole, the pre-drills for the hardware are not square or level and will need to be refit, many of the fabricated joints are not square or properly glued, many of the bracing were not properly attached and fell off when unpacking, etc.
As well, HomeSquare's return policy is unconscionable. One of the boxes and it's contents was damaged in shipping. Both boxes were very poorly packaged. Only when I requested a return number did I learn the stipulations of their return policy. It is the buyers responsibility to cover the cost of shipping. It is stated that a refund will be issued only if the product is returned in the same condition that is was shipped, in a timeline of 10 business days. Given the condition that the packages arrived to me and the materials that were provided for packaging, I knew this would be impossible. As well, the shipping deadline was unreasonable. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars to ship garbage across the country on the slim chance I might be able to get my $2000 back for said garbage?

Do not trust this company!

"We purchased a beverage cooler for our client through HomeSquare. We received an email that they had shipped the item on 12/31, so we assumed it was on the way. In talking to our client last week (mid February), we determined the item had not arrived at all. We went through the company's website to track the order, it simply said "error." We were eventually able to track it on Fedex, which reports that it was delivered in TX (we are in CO). We contacted Home Square.

First of all, it's very hard to talk to a human unless you say you're buying something. Their "help with a previous purchase" option will literally tell you to email them and hang up on you.

Second, they kept telling us to send them an email at every turn. After multiple email attempts, we received no response.

Thirdly, we called several times to talk to a manager, but all of the representatives said managers don't take phone calls at HomeSquare. Big red flag!

Ultimately, they said the fridge was outside their return window and won't help. Despite them sending the item to the wrong state, they won't let us talk to a manger or offer any form of help or compensation including a replacement item.

Do not purchase from them!

I bought a bed in August that arrive in September Damaged

"Go into a store and Buy furniture! Never again! I have been talking to customer service since the day my bed arrived. They say it’s been on back order ever since. I love my bed I designed a room around my bed. They offered me 25% off I simply been asking what do they discount their damaged beds to for purchase and get no answers. I can’t get a manager to contact me? I keep getting Cymax no reply emails that say I’m Nonresponsive. Social media team responds weeks later! Customer service is polite when you can get them but they are powerless! Who runs this company? How can I speak to a manager? "

worst customer service ever.

"Ordered desks and was told they couldn't get them to us by needed date. We immediatly canceled order only to get a email saying cancellation was not accepted. Attempted multiple times to call the number and get customer service and couldn't contact anyone. Sent emails with zero response. But cannot reach anyone. Oh and BTW since they refused our cancelation we have to pay shipping both ways and a restock fee to return them. "

Go to a furniture store

"The bookcase is totally apart, not hard to put together but the back of the bookcase is held together with TAPE!
The finished part of the back is covered with white specs, first I thought it was styrofoam but then a damp cloth did not take it off. You can't scrape it off as that scratches. A damp cloth leaves streaks as it appears as the stain was put on an hour before shipping. Getting ahold of this company by phone is not possible!!!! Leaving an e-mail message is useless as they don't return their e-mails.
The bookcase was lost for 4 days, the people at fedex kept telling me it would be delivered the day after I called just to get me off the phone.
It's only laminate on top of pressed board. Not quality at all for 349.00, I feel they owe me at least half back but good luck getting a response from someone. Delivery was supposed to be 12/4, 12/5, 12/6 and finally arrived on 12/8. Shipping directions were not followed by fedex, the order stated call for delivery as were gated. No they
propped it against the fence and my husband is in a wheelchair so I got to struggle with a 100# 6 ft. package by
myself to get it in the back of our truck and into the house. I would like a partial refund for the lack of customer service and misrepresentation of the product.
