The 2 men from Star delivery were also very nice.

I looked at several pics of the piece on line and then got courageous and gave them a call. A nice young man assisted me with my request and did his ultimate best to ensure me that I did not have to be fearful about ordering my furniture from this Conmpany. I have never been one to buy without the opportunity to see and touch but I cannot say that anymore. I am the proud owner of two beautiful pieces of furniture in my new Master Bedroom suite. "After some research I placed my order at this online furniture store. What started out as a straight forward transaction has been a nightmare. I ordered Universal brand dining chairs, a dining table, buffet, and china. I was told the order would take 4 - 6 weeks. I was fine with it, however I was wondering if these guys have to go the jungles of Indonesia to chop a few mahogany trees, bring it back to the US of A, and build it at Universal furniture. Anyhow, after charging my account the friendly associate calls me that the dining tables and the china/buffet set may take a little while longer. However with a very optimistic tone, he mentioned the chairs are ready. Yeah! Cheers everyone! (sarcasm) What the hell am I going to do with a set of chairs and no table?

I do not get any communication and as the 6 weeks was getting closer, I called Home Time Furniture. I was told that oops! The dining set and china/buffet are available, but poof! the chairs are not. I will have a delay of another 5 - 8 weeks. I tried to work with these guys. I asked if I could possibly change the order to a different table and chair set that they have on inventory. Things did not work out as I did not understand what “discounts” they had originally placed and I had to folk out extra $$$$. All I can say is I am very disappointed. I feel like I gave these guys an interest free loan for 2 months and wasted my time. This is my first and last furniture transaction. I am going to my friendly Ethan Allen store, I may end up paying premium but after this sour transaction with Home Time Furniture, I don’t mind the extra $500 I will spend at Ethan Allen. Another note, I do not understand why they have products that are either back ordered or not in the warehouse displayed on the website. I say this is good old false advertising."

"7/6/10 - ordered American Drew Camden bed. Saw the price on their site and called in. Dave, my salesperson was pretty helpful. I got a discounted price over the phone and placed the order.
7/21/10 - received a phone call from the shipping company who scheduled a delivery appointment with me
7/26/10 - shippers came to deliver the bed, white glove delivery was helpful as they set up the bed for me upstairs in my bedroom which was included in the price.

pros: easy ordering, fast delivery, very competitive price
cons: delivery company was an hour early so i wasnt home yet. "
