"I ordered a MagLite flashlight from them and received an email stating that my was accepted and would ship in a few days. Guess what?? A week after it was supposed to ship I get a email stating that my order had been cancelled because it was sold out. Don't waste your time with these jerkoffs."
"I placed my order and shortly afterwards received an e-mail thanking me and saying that I would expect to receive my item in 10 days. I received an e-mail 5 days later saying that they had cancelled my order because they had not received enough inventory. I then received another email the next day stating that their records showed that my order had been cancelled and that if it was cancelled in error, I should call their customer service.
It's pretty clear that the Home Shopping Network really dosen't have their Internet ordering act together. To be given a delivery date and then to be told almost a week later that they were out of stock, then to receive an e-mail that looks like they don't realize that they were the ones that had cancelled their order seems pretty disorganized. I would pass on these guys for now."
"I bought a flashlight from them at their own discounted price. The status was 'awaiting shipping confirmation', i had emailed them, and they told me that i would receive my order by the 22 of may. Later on, i get an email saying they didn't have enough stock. Sounds like fraudulent business practice to me, and i will definitely not reccommend this site at all."
"Ordered Maglite with 15.00 off new customer coupon and just got my cancellation notice. Site showed they were in stock. Fine if they are out of stock, but I was willing to wait for restocking. This first-time customer is a last-time customer.
Edit: Never got the flashlight or any other response."
"Tried to order a Mag-lite flashlight. The account did not say anything (online), and 6 days after ordering, I get an email: "We're sorry, we were unable to complete your order listed below. Unfortunately, HSN did not receive enough of this product to fulfill your order. The order has
been cancelled." Funny, since when I did order this item, there were 6 items still left in stock. BTW, they didn't charge my credit card..."
" ordered Perlier Olive Oil Autoship program on Nov 15, 2004. This program guaranteed that I would be shipped the product for a guaranteed price of $29.85 at a customer selected interval as long as I was in the program. Today (2/12/05), I received an email from HSN that they had cancelled my autoship without my permission. I called customer service and talked to a manager, Jennifer. I was told that they had canceled my order and could not tell me if they had cancelled any one else. I was just want my product at $29.85. They said in January that the Olive Oil line was the second highest selling product line for Perlier on HSN. The product is available. I guess they just don't want to honor that good of a price. That is deceiving the customer.

"I received as a gift an expensive bracelet from Home Shopping Network last May. I dropped the bracelet on a soft surface and it broke in half (it was onyx) so I tried to return it, to no avail. HSN told me it was past the 30 days so I couldn't return it. Also after I took the bracelet to a jewelers, they with a magnifying glass saw chinese writing on the inside of the bracelet and suggested I contact HSN and ask for manufacturer's name. Guess what, they don't know who their vendor was. Somewhere in China was all I know..I assume they buy their things wholesale with no regard for quality. I will never buy anything from them again, they are totally unethical in their customer dealings and simply do not care if you are satisfied or not. I used to buy Signature Club A makeup and one time was made to pay excessive shipping for a return. I should have avoided dealing with them again, but this bracelet was a gift. Although I liked the makeup, I won't be back as a customer. Of course, they could care less."
"I am very disatisfied with this company because I was trying to enter in a coupon code to see the discounted price and it automatically placed my order for over $300 I calmly called the 1 800 # and canceled my order over the phone. Everything went fine and I got a confirmation email stating that my order had been canceled. A few days later I checked my bank account and they had charged me the $300 even after I canceled. Of course I didn't have that much money so I was charged an overdraft charge. Why would they charge my credit card I canceled and they didn't even ship my order yet? I would definitely not recommend this company. "
"I ordered a JVC GRD93U camcorder and separate accessory package on Dec 3,2004 and I received the two shipments Dec 8, 2004 in perfect condition. All items are as described."
"Beware of HSN, they are lying crooks. I recently purchased a Lexmark printer off their site. It clearly stated that it comes with a color and black cartridge. When I received the printer, it did not come with black, just color and photo. I emailed them and at first they said there was nothing they could do. Later they said they they were going to put in a request with lexmark to send me the black cartridge and it would take about 2 weeks.
So I wait 3 weeks, and no cartridge. I decide to email them and now they say that I will not be receiving the black cartridge and that I would have to purchase this. On top of lying to me, it seems the printer they sold me was a refurb. I checked the serial number with Lexmark, and they confirmed it's a refurb. They however did not mention this on their site. Please beware of HSN, they do not care about the customer. Save your money and buy from Amazon, they have much better customer service."
"I bought a Lexmark printer via HSN's web site on 4/26/04. The printer was supposely being shipped directly from Lexmark (which I don't think it was). Anyways, I received the printer a few days ago and noticed a few things about it.
First of all, according to HSN's web site, this printer should come with a color and black cartridge. Well in the box was a color and photo cartridge. I wanted a seperate black cartridge like there web site stated. Sure theres black in the photo cartridge but its much less of it and the printer prints slower with it (so I heard).
Secondly the printer is a refurb. The manuf date is 5/2003 and the warranty ends in 7/2004. I found this info out when I contacted Lexmark and they ran my serial#.
This is totally unacceptable! I ended up contacting HSN about this matter a few times and they were VERY unprofessional. I've got different excuses each time like (but you got black ink, its in the photo cartridge), and (but you only paid $10 (after rebate)), and (you can return the printer if you not happy with it), and (this is new to us, we havent had any other calls about this yet), and the list goes on. Heck one call they told me they were transferring my complaint to a senior rep who was suppose to call me last monday. He never did.
After getting the run around, I asked to speak with a manager. Even she didn't want to budge but offered me a small refund to basically "shut me up" after I started to get rude about this ordeal. I agreed and took that (hopefully that shows up) but I still don't like how I was treated on this matter. HSN mislead people on this printer and false advertised what they sold. Once confronted about this problem they were in a "no care" attitude unless you got rude and spoke with a manager. Thats not the way to run a business. In fact they lost me as a future customer."
"I ordered a Fuji FinePix A205 digital camera from HSN. I'm pretty happy with the camera. It seems to be working ok. Shipping wasn't the fastest, but it got here in 7 days. I also got a CDROM with some ArcSoft software on it. It contains Funhouse, PhotoPrinter and VideoImpression. This item was not a part of my order, so I'm not quite sure why I got it. Anway, that ArcSoft CDROM arrived badly scratched so it's useless anyway. It wasn't inside the Fuji box. Everything inside the Fuji box was just fine. Maybe some shipping employee at HSN scratched somebody else's order and dumped it in my box as a special gift? Why does HSN torment me with this mysterious riddle?!?!"
"I have purchased several products from HSN and have yet to receive anything that was not as described. Shipping seems prompt. Have not had any reason to return anything to check that avenue but I will say that you do have to sift through their sales pitch. As any smart shopper should."
"I haven't made any purchases from HSN for several years. Their fulfillment on merchandise shipping has gone completely down the tubes. It is just horrible. They blame the USPS when it looks like it takes them a good 10 days to even prepare their itens for shipment. This is definitely NOT a backordered item, by their own admission.
If expect your order anytime less than 3 weeks you can forget it. Place your Spring orders in January."
"Although I don't care for their products (too much hype), pricing, or shipping rates, they do (to a degree) stand behind what they sell.
Everything I've ever purchased from HSN was a total disappointment. I almost felt as if I were scammed into believing their product reviews and descriptions were better than the actual products I received. Like I said, in other words, there's too much ado about nothing.
I have recently returned merchandise to HSN. They very generously and promptly, might I add, refunded my initial shipping charges, in addition to the full purchase price. I of course, had to pay an outrageous amount of $24 at the Post Office just to ship "1" of my returns!
I realize that HSN is not responsible for the rates at the Post Office. I do however, feel that I should have been reimbursed or compensated in some way, for having to return merchandise that did not perform as well as described on their television program."
