"Avoid HotBuysDigital like the plague. I ordered a new digital camera from them, before ordered I asked both in email and on the phone, is it new? I was assured it was new, but when it arrived it was clearly refurbished. It even had Nikon's part number for a refurbished camera. When I called and asked them, they reassured me it was new. When I told them it had a Nikon refurbished part number, he paused, stuttered, then gave me some lie about having to change boxes because the original boxes were damaged. I IMMEDIATELY requested an RMA, and sent this back. I wish that were the end of the story, but it's not. 2 months later they had not yet credited my credit card, so I called them. He said my card would be credited that day. 2 weeks later, still no credit, so I called a second time (I was clearly too patient with these people). Again, I was told it would be credited that day. But I was fed up, so I called Citibank and told them what was going on. Citibank immediately and without any questions reversed all changes.
So I say again, AVOID HotBuysDigital like the plague!

"This company are ripoffs. Do not buy from them. Do not trust them. They lied to me at least 10 times, and after more than a month I am still trying to get my credit card credited with the purchase price because they never shipped me the goods and are lying to me about issuing me a credit as well. They are total cheats."
"HotBuysDigital.com is a bad company. Their business plan apparently consists of selling bigger ticket items (like the cannon powershot A70 and waterproof housing I ordered) at or below cost, and then trying to badger their customers into buying overpriced accessories and extended warranties. After placing the order, instead of simply charging the credit card and shipping out what I had ordered, like any normal company, they e-mailed me and forced *me* to call *them* the next day in order to complete the order, just to see if they could get me to purchase some batteries, or a memory card, or an extended warranty, using hard-sell tactics on the phone. After I turned down all of these overpriced offers, they decided to charge me for a warranty anyway. When I received the camera, and noticed the extraneous charge, I called them up, and had to fight through a thick line of BS to get them to credit the charge to my card - actually, they still haven't credited the charge. They're requiring me to send them the physical piece of paper with the warrantee written on it, even though it hasn't been registered. I wouldn't be suprised if this requires more phone calls and a month to resolve. In short: DON'T BUY FROM HOTBUYSDIGITAL.COM. The $15 savings isn't worth it. You'd be better off buying from a reputable reseller on eBay, or paying full price."
