"The hot tub cover box was damaged on the outside, and the underside of the cover was punctured slightly on the outside corner. The written instructions for receiving damaged goods were somewhat confusing;
They said to refuse delivery and then contact the factory... I happen to call first, and they said to keep it and to send the pictures, and they would then process my claim

... Since the damage was slight, and I thought the cover would probably work, I called and emailed offering to keep the damaged cover on trial basis, if they offered a significant discount and otherwise honored the guarantee.. It took at least 3 attempts to finally reach someone, and by then they had already begun manufacturing a new cover... When claims finally responded they said they could only discount the cover a $100 and not offer even a limited guarantee.. I found this surprising, as their out of pocket costs to reship and immediately manufacture another cover I'm sure would be much higher..."
