"Bought shoes in late April. Returned them in mid May. It's mid July now, and after numerous emails, phone calls (at MY expense), I STILL don't have a refund. I get the same lame excuses every time. "Beware!!! I bought my goods they told me a fortnight till I had them. 2 months later same response oh a few more weeks. I contacted them and requested a refund and they said they issued it and would receive it. 9 days past and nothing... Contacted them again and they said 2-3 days 5 days later still nothing. Now I've threatened to report them they say they have now made the refund but still nothing... TOTAL SCAM!!! "
"Howcool.com shoppers please beware. Don't get scammed like i did. I put an order in for a product on 2/1/13 they took my money out immediately. 4weeks later I hadn't received my goods. They said it's on back order will be ready in 3 weeks. Another three weeks past still got nothing. Had to email them twice to get a generic response. Again they said its just a slight delay, that they would have the stuff ready in two weeks. I got a sniff of the scam then and there and immediately requested for a refund. They took two days to get back and deliberately lied about the refund instead gave me a credit. I said I did not asked for a store credit I wanted a refund of my $50. Got a response saying my refund will be processed in 7 days, 14 days later, to date, now is the 22/4/13 I have nothing, no refund, no response. Have lodged a complaint through my bank for fraudulent transaction dispute, it is now going after them. Howcool.con is very very dishonest in their dealings and I hope no one else will get scam like this. "

"They charged my credit card 3 weeks ago, but they never send my item. For 3 weeks, my Order History page shows 'pending' in process, so I called them. They told me they're sending it out today, but i wasn't happy about it cause they charged me before they send me my item, so I cancelled the order. Bad."
"As with all on-line purchasing there comes doubt of authenticity. I searched for ages looking for reviews on this site to see if they were on the level, mostly because the web page seems untrustworthy and the prices seemed too good to be true. Even with it's reviews page and secirity certificates I was really hesitant about ordering.
I wanted two items in particular and HowCool.com had the most competetive pricing, so I went ahead and took a chance.
My items were Special Order and I expected the 8 week waiting period advised. 4 weeks after my order had been placed I was advised one of my items was not available as the line had been discontinued by the manufacturer and my size was not attainable. The second item took an additional 2 weeks to get to me [6 weeks total], but it was top quality and genuine for a third of the price I would pay anywhere in Australia even with the postage added.
The customer service IS exceptional. Understanding the inconvenience, they offered a full refund of the item to my bank account, or a full refund price plus 10% of the item price if I used it in the way of store credit. Very reasonable and generous.
If you're not pressed for time I highly reccomend the site. Now that I've actually experienced dealing with them I no longer doubt the honesty of the reviews on their webpage, they ended up worth it."
"I ordered an item from their store because the store I normally order from was 'out-of-stock' of the item. The item was to be a gift for someone, but when I received the item I realized it was not the right one. I sent an e-mail to HowCool and they apologized for their mistake and issued a UPS return label for me to return the item to them. They also immediatly shipped out the replacement item so I would have it as soon as possible, which I thought was great. Upon opening the second package I realized it was not the correct item either, again. I looked on their website and the original item I ordered was not to be found, I believe it could have been discontinued. I am not sure if the person filling the order just pulled something off the shelf that looked like the item I ordered, but for it to happen 2 times in a row, that is not good. I have returned both items and requested a full refund. From the e-mails I received I think their customer service is good and they honestly want to fix their mistakes, but I think there seems to be a problem in the warehouse where the orders are getting filled and shipped. The item numbers on my invoice and on item, both is the same box, did not match, not sure how someone can miss that, 2 times. I think I would try to order from them again, their customer service in dealing with my problems being the only reason why. Maybe I just was unlucky with my specific order, I do not know, just wanted to let other know what I delt with. Hope the rest of you have better luck."
