I did not get a refund from them

"I would like you to share my experience with Hudson's bay. They did not issue the refund for returned items and still state that it was issued 5 month ago. However, the bank confirmed that I have never received the refund for this order. I will not spend any cent for purchasing at Hb again. "

Holding up refund. Complaint to BBB helped

"Placed order was never shipped, cancelled order for refund. Refund is delayed for more than a month.
Order Placed on Dec 6, 2019
Dec 7, 2019 - Electronic shipment created with tracking number . Estimated delivery date was Dec 12
No further updates on shipping.
Dec 17, 2017 - Called in to check the status of the order. I was told it is coming before Christmas
Dec 23, 2017 - Called in to check the status. The CSR (customer service representative) confirmed that the order was not fulfilled and got suggestion to cancel the order to get refund. I agreed to go ahead with cancellation for refund. The refund timeline - 10-21 business days.
Jan 14, 2020 - Called in to check the status of the refund. The CSR reassured that it is coming. I asked to send me e-mail with some information. I was told there is investigation is going and the refund will be issued 10-21 business days after the investigation is completed.
Jan 22, 2020 - Contacted HBC via webform with details of my order demanding immediate refund. Never got reply on that
Jan 23, 2020 - Called in again to check the status of my refund. It was 40 minutes call. The CSR submitted request to financial (?) department to look into my case. I was told that the CSR will contact me with updates

Jan 27, 2020 - No correspondence from HBC - filed complaint with the BBB. That helped to get things moving.

Within a day HBC representative contacted me. And looks like I am getting a refund soon. Hopefully...

Bottom line - contact HBC couple times, get confirmation e-mails from CSR and then file a complaint with BBB.

Looks like my case is not something unusual with HBC and I can only guess how many similar cases went unreported.

they are not deserving of even one star

"On Nov.30th I made an online purchase amounting to about $900.00 using Visa for the most of it, and the rest on two gift cards. I returned the order and it was received by the warehouse on December.11th. They had the audacity to refund me the entire amount in GIFT CARD! I asked for the approx $580.00 to be put back on my card. I have dealt with countless useless agents, useless supervisors, and even less useful manager! I have been advised it was done on their end, and it must be my financial institution . i explained I receive refunds within 3 days. i asked if they could please double check the work of the person who performed the 'refund', but no. As Visa suggested to me two weeks ago, I have finally resorted to filing a dispute. I have been without close to $600 since December 1st. The rudeness of all agents is unbelievable."

Hudson's Bay has the worst customer services and worst shopping experience in Hudson's Bay!

"I received the birthday saving card which is over $50 purchase get $10 off, and I wanted to use it in the bay for my birthday gift today. When I at the cashier counter, they told me I can't use it to combine with other offers because I didn't print this offer, which this explanation doesn't make sense at all. Also, the attitude of the cashier was terrible, she told me either using one of the discounts or not buying them at all. Cashier and her manager gave me those impatient and bad facial expressions and she told me she doesn't care about my birthday and my shopping experience. I would never shop in Hudson's Bay anymore and I have no idea why would I go to Hudson's Bay on my birthday at let those sales associates and managers give me a harsh time. I strongly recommend do not go to Hudson's Bay in Oakridge Center if you live in Vancouver BC, It is the worst ever!"

Do not do your registry here!

"All of my experiences at the Bay have been difficult. My husband and I did our gift registry at both the Bay and Bed Bath and Beyond. We reviewed the gifts we received and some of the things on our registry, we decided we did not want. Instead of offering us the amount purchased for the gift, the associate advised us they had to give us the lowest discounted ever price of the item. An item that was purchased at $60 was going to give us $15 on a gift card. Why is the Bay benefiting from our gifts? Bed Bath and Beyond was able to give us the return for the value purchased at. It was very easy to return and no hassle. I advised all of my friends getting married after me to NOT do a gift registry at the Bay. Also, we ordered furniture online recently and when we went to return it, they asked us for a receipt. Our online order number was not enough for this return. We never received a receipt with the purchase but they made it seem like it was our fault that it was shipped this way. The associate had to call a help line and it took forever until she finally was able to get the correct code for the refund."

Worst customer service I have ever experienced, still waiting to be credited for something that was never delivered. Never again

"They told me it went to a city hundreds of miles away from me. They then told me they declare it lost and I will be credited in 7 to 21 days, it's been 40 days!"

3 phone calls, 2 emails, still no service

"I bought a mattress less than 3 years ago, with a 10 warranty on it. A spring has gone missing- there is just a dip where it used to be. Every time I call in, I am on the phone almost an hour and get promised I will get a call within 2 business days. Its been almost 2 months. No calls. I have emailed in photos. No response. I have emailed in 2 complaints... just a form letter saying they will get back to me. I gave them a dead line of Wednesday of this week. It's now Friday night. No calls. No emails... and my 93 year old Uncle is sleeping on a mattress with a spring missing. They know its for an elderly man. Is this why they keep ignoring me? What can I do to be heard? Now I am writing reviews. I will look for every forum until I get a response."

the Bay online shopping experience

"I recently found out that the Bay has the most atrocious customer service.
A garment I ordered on July 11 that I was charged for when it shipped on the 12th did not arrive on, at the latest the 19th as it was suppose to. It was already July 27.

I tracked it & saw that the package had arrived in Mississauga on July 13 & was still there.

I twice emailed customer service regarding this & received no response. I then called customer service & was put on hold while the agent telephoned Canada Post. She returned after 5 minutes & said Canada Post was not answering their telephone.

She said she would continue to try & send me an email after she spoke with them. This was Friday, July 27. On Sunday, July 29 she emailed me that she was unable to contact them & did I want a replacement sent to me or a refund.

I said a refund. It was then I found out I would only receive my refund AFTER Canada Post investigated where the parcel had been lost & that could be as long as 21 days! Since Canada Post is not answering their telephone how confident can one be that it will only be 21 days. This after the Bay has already had my money for 17 days.

Why is the onus on me to wait for the investigation to conclude, it was not me who mailed the package but the one who was to receive it. When I said that to customer service I was met with silence.

I find this whole situation unacceptable.
