"I ordered a D500 and it arrived three days later. By then I had changed my mind and needed to return the camera. The return process was painless and I received a full refund the day after my package was delivered to Hunt's. Overall I can't imagine a smoother order process. I hope to do business with them again."
"I bought a refurbed Canon 24-105mm lens from Hunt's via Amazon.com. The lens shipped promptly and was packaged well. It looks and performs like a brand news lens, despite costing several hundred dollars less than new. I would buy from Hunt's again without concern."
"Easy ordering and fast delivery."
"Hunts really let me down.
I ordered a used Hoya 58mm circular polarizer from them and received a completely different item, despite being assured I would get exactly what I ordered.
The Hoya filter I had ordered was listed in used but excellent scratch free condition.
What I received had several compression fractures (noticeable small cracks in the glass along two opposite inner walls of the filter) and would by no ones judgement be listed in "excellent" condition.
I was, eventually, refunded my money, however there was nothing comparable that Hunts could give me, so I still ended up with nothing and a lot of wasted time.
I hadn't originally planned to write a review of my experience with Hunt's, until I just received an email from "BuyShield", a company Hunt's uses to try to sell you warranties on, even used, parts. I have received 3 such emails now since manually unsubscribing to this offer. This was NOT an opt-in offer and there were NO notifications that my email AND part of my customer information (purchase, name, email) would be given away.
Hunt's will SELL your email away. Don't give it to them."
"The customer service at Hunt's really leaves much to be desired.
I tried working with them on multiple occasions and just about every time, they fail to make the follow-ups, phonecalls, and one has to continue to prompt them to do what they should be doing on their own.
I don't know what their situation is, but they seem like they aren't interested in doing business.
There needs to be some new competition in the area for photo and video products in order to forcefully raise the bar at Hunts so that customers actually feel like Hunt's appreciates their business."
"I placed a small internet order for digital camera sensor cleaning supplies with Hunt's, finding the website easy to use. Hunt's processed the order quickly and sent it on its way. I'll certainly buy from them again."
"Nice site, easy to nav. quick cheacout process. they have a large inventore and reasonable prices."
"Great company to deal with - Easy ordering , great prices, fast shipping"
"In filling out the order form, nothing appeared to be required - name, address, etc. I didn't fill those fields in, and my order was accepted. I just seems odd to me that you could accept an order without that information."
"The page "timed out" several times while I was trying to place the order and also when I tried to print the results. Very difficult to get business done this way."
"I was looking for negative holders. After shopping around, I tried the internet and my request took me to Hunts Photo and Video. Hunts has GREAT Prices!!!! (44% savings) and it was Easy and Quick to order. "
"Ordered photo printer the site is very easy to use. I have ordered paper and cartridge combo
from them before and everything came in a very timely manner, and in great working order. and their prices beat my local camera shop."
"I called on Friday asking about a Lowepro D-RES 8s camera bag The person on the other end of the phone insisted that although the Melrose, MA location did not have the item available, their Portland ME store did have one. Scott assured me that they would send the camera bag via courier to the Melrose store by Monday. I called Monday - after Scott had left and was told to call Tuesday. I called again on Tuesday - asked for Scott. Scott said he'd check to see if the camera bag had arrived. After waiting for about 20 minutes on hold, the phone rang on the other end, I asked again for Scott. Scott told me that the store manager in Portland found the transfer tag information, but that someone in the store had sold the camera bag before it could be couriered to Melrose. I'm very disappointed. I seriously doubt that B&H or Audorama would pull this kind of stunt."
"Ordered a photo printer which was shipped the next day. The web site was accurate in its information and ordering was simple."
