However, despite the FAQ page on the company's website claiming "insurance is not automatically added to your shipping charges to keep shipping charges the lowest they can possibly be", it most certainly was added to my order shipped via USPS, which the FAQ also claims "does not insure packages by default". The increase in shipping charges did not make the total price of the item more than what other retailers were charging, but I did not appreciate being charged for something I didn't ask for."
