Wonderful product and even better service! We originally purchased a LJ Hutchen Bb Clarinet as a student clarinet for my high school daughter. I based the purchase from the good Amazon reviews for the product and Hyson Music. This was a great decision. We've had it for about a year and half and did minimal maintenance on it (we tightened a few loose screws). One day, my daughter came to me and said that it was no longer putting out the proper notes and that it seemed like there was a leak somewhere. I immediately contacted Hyson Music and asked them what I should do. They generously invited me to send it back to them for repair. I sent it out the next day with just a copy of the e-mail correspondence we exchanged. Within a couple of weeks, it arrived back to us in perfect working condition and at no cost to us!
I can't recommend this company enough and will be referring them to anyone else who is in need of a great product with great support!

After he moved into the 7th grade, and planed to continue Trumpet as the instrument, so we decided to purchase a trumpet instead of rental. "I wanted to get my son a Clarinet for the school band. I went online shopping and ended up at Hyson Music store in New York city. I liked what they have to offer, in terms of products, quality and price, so I placed my order and took the 10% discount and the five day delivery free shipping.
Later on in the day ,I found out that my son must have his Clarinet, on Monday, and my order ,which was placed on Thursday, will not be delivered till late following week. So I called the store, and told them about my situation, and asked if they can help me. To my surprise, I got more than what I had expected. The salesman, was extremely helpful. He went out of his way, late in the day, and sent my order over night to me, free of charge, and on top of that, he sent me a brand new Clarinet, instead of the refurbished one, that I had ordered, which they ran out of, and for the same price.
I was really impressed. This is extremely generous and great service to me. I wish others would learn from these people, the right way to deal with customers.

"When oldest started band, I was shocked at local rental prices for a Sax ($88 a month). Went online, found a nice new beginner Sax and purchased it- Hyson Music was the seller. Shipped fast, nice beginner horn. When it was time to step up I was going to stay local- you know that keep local places in business. My local store (with 3 locations) could not be bothered with sending a $3K Sax to the store nearest me. They told me I would need to drive over an hour each way to purchase it. Figured if they felt that way, the service after sale might also be lacking. Since I was happy with the first sax from Hyson, I went back and purchased the Yamaha 62III. Was shipped out asap. They let me know about a "Step Up" rebate Yamaha was having- and when I had problems with the rebate paperwork, Hyson Music was with there willing to help! They made sure the paper work was exactly what Yamaha wanted, called me back to let me know. Their customer service is above and beyond! If the Sax needs repaired, I have total faith now. Hyson has earned all my business- from reeds, to misc items, to more instruments (youngest intends to learn several) to repairs. I just cannot sing enough PRAISES for them!"

"Very pleased with Hyson Music. We purchased a pre-owned intermediate flute for our daughter. I used their online chat before the purchase and Jesse assured me the instrument would be 'like new', and it was exactly that. The flute arrived still in the original plastic sleeves and packaging with cleaning cloth, etc., cannot even tell that it had ever been used. We saved several hundred dollars over the cost of the same instrument from our local music store and our daughter is very pleased to have a new flute just in time for band camp! "I purchased a LJ Hutchen flute for my daughter in Dec 2013. On May 15, 2014, my daughter came from school and advised something appeared to be wrong with the flute. The sound was not good when certain keys were played. We needed immediate solution as she was performing that weekend for two events. I called Hyson Music and was greeted by very friendly staff who advised the President was on the other line but he would call me back asap. I received a call back within 15-20mins from Jesse. He was more than willing to have the flute serviced. The problem we were faced with was the short time frame to get the flute serviced and ready for that weekend. Jesse offered to have the flute serviced by a nearby music store/repair shop but this was not the normal practice for instrument repairs/service needed. Jesse was willing to make whatever needed to be done happen. He just wanted my daughter to have her flute and have two great performances, especially after finding out she was a Senior in HS and this would be her last performances. Jesse made a few phone calls to places in my area to see who could make this happen for me, but was unsuccessful. We had one other solution I could try. Jesse told me he would call me in the morning to find out if I was able to find a trust worthy place to take the flute for service. I did find a music store/repair shop that I was able to take the flute that same day. They were to have the flute checked the next morning and I would receive a call. To end this long story... the flute was repaired and she had it in time for her two performances that weekend. The flute sounded beautiful. Jesse also called me and was pleased to know there was a solution to the problem and he agreed to absorb the cost. He demonstrated great customer service and willing to go above and beyond to assist. I would recommend considering Hyson Music to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and accommodating business."
"I bought a Yamaha YCL-450N clarinet via Hyson's eBay store. After the one year warranty passed, we found some cracks (probably rough treatment on my son's part?). Our local music store is an hour away and wanted to charge me nearly $500.00 to get a whole new "joint" and put the keys back on it. I called Hyson to see what they might be able to do or suggest. Jesse was quick to assure me that they do care about their customers and could do a great job at a great price. I took his word for it and they did an excellent job at an excellent price!
