"I ordered crankset which they sent missing a vital part. When I asked them to send the missing part so I could install the crankset, they flat refused. Because this is a part that is sold included with the crankset, and is a part that does not wear out, nobody stocks this part. It took me months with my bike disassembled before I found something I could jury-rig. This guy is a sociopath."
"The 5-star reviews that say excellent prices, good products and quick shipping are all correct; unfortunately it takes more than that to make customers happy and keep them coming back. The problem is that the customer service is not just bad, it's non-existent! Shipping costs are a bit high. There will be defective products from time to time, but their policy is to not take anything back if it's been opened. Period. I will never shop there again!
First problem was that my web browser was having problems with their site. I couldn't view my cart ("the web page cannot be displayed"). I sent an email about this and the response was "fix your software". I replied saying that wasn't helpful since my browser was set to accept their cookies and worked fine at all other sites, but I got ignored. I tried Firefox and things worked, so apparently they don't support Internet Explorer, at least some versions.
The next problem is that I bought an SRAM chain that had a bad powerlink. It just wouldn't latch. The "contact us" link does NOT take you to a email link, it takes you to the FAQ page, so it's difficult to even send them email at this point! When I finally found the HIDDEN email link, I asked if I could return the defective chain. Here's the response:
"Only new and unused items can be returned... we do not recommend a link, you are better off with a real chain pin and a chain tool..." so they didn't even bother to understand the problem before saying no.
Additionally, the packaging of my derailleur pulleys (aka, "jockey wheels") had already been opened before they shipped it to me, negating any possibility of return! My order receipt had no email address or phone number on it. The customer service emails have no name or phone number on them. This results in that sinking feeling that you are getting screwed over.
So it appears that basically all sales are final with these guys. Even when it's regarding defective products. Completely unacceptable!
Shipping was overpriced. Maybe they build profit into the shipping and handling and hope no one will notice. They sent my stuff in a small Priority Mail flat rate box, which costs $5, right? So why was I charged $13?
One last thing, I'm not sure about tax laws, but it looks like they are doing something illegal in that regard. They are in California and so am I, but they didn't charge me any sales tax!"
"I would just like to say that I was completely happy with my experience with icyclesusa. I placed my order on April 16th and a few of the 8 or so items I ordered indicated that there was up to a 5 day wait for the item to be shipped. Lo-and behold I received my shipping notice on the 21st and the package was delivered not long after. Everything came as advertized and I am very happy with the overall experience.
Some things I learned the hardway include the fact that you can not change your order after it has been placed. Its not a big deal, they just cancel your order and ask that you re-order what you really want. Just know what you want before you order it I guess, makes sense right?"

"This is a comment regarding ICycles customer service when I had a question about my recent order. According to the website, shipping should have been free (for orders over $100), but showed shipping costs when I placed the order. This situation was rectified immediately. Also, my order was placed on Thursday 1/21 and was delivered by the USPS on Saturday, 1/23. TWO DAYS! You people absolutely ROCK! Not only did I get the best price I could hope to find, but you shipped my XT brakes/shifters for FREE, via priority mail. Outstanding! "This vendor has some good prices and specials, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I'd ordered an Answer Hyperlite handlebar that was one sale. In every review of these bars it mentions special plugs are included to allow barends to be used if desired (since the bars are so thin at the ends the special plugs keep the ends from getting crushed by barend clamps).
So of course the bars I ordered didn't come with these plugs.
I emailed their "Help Desk" and asked what was up and their response was "These do not include anything extra not described in the ad... Have never even heard of such a thing... No one runs bar ends anymore...".
I can understand the first bit, but the comment about nobody running bar ends is garbage. Sounds like they have a 12-year-old boy answering their email."
