"INP send me a phantom that was 6 1/2 years old that was NOT HD
compatible....I returned never to see my money again!"
"I purchase the Sa-digital box at first, they said that it would work, but that I should first plug it in, than wait until it programs itself. I turned on but would shut down in 50 seconds or so.
I would than unplug it. plug it back in, and it would activate again, but again it would shut down. I was told by tech support to mail it back to them so that they can lock the box and stop it from shutting down. They scammed me because after receiving the unit back, I was told that for 105.00 more they would ship me the phantom by cod and that the box would not need to be locked or activated. It was activated already a plug and play box. I even called my cable company to activate the box and they could not, their system was not capable of controlling that type of box. I even tried another family members home with another service cable provider from another county and that company also stated that they tried and could not program or control that type of converter. I was totally fooled by the inphome tech and sales people. This is a total scam that the BBB should close down, or that some agency that protect the consumers should close down and look into their scam. Beware of Inphome.com people, if its to good to be true, than its not true. I did some research and found that their are no digital box in existence as today that works or is working independently that is being sold by any company or entity. People do your research first, I did not and paid for it. I guess its my loss and your gain in knowledge. Believe me when something comes out for digital box replacement you will definitely know because plenty of companies will be selling them. Think about it one company monopolizing the industry yea right ha ha ha ha LOL LOL LOL LOL.
I guess people wish that its true and they fall for it. wishful thinking. "
"This company is a total scam. They show a picture of a small Motorola Phantom cable converter at inphome.com
Then, when you get the product it's in a big box. Because it's large about 12" height X 2 feet in depth X 2 feet wide. It weighs 39 pounds.
Think about it. Why would a company charge more than 10% more for using a credit card? They charge $230 for a refurbished, $260 for a new, and $360 for a new unit by credit card.
Once you get the box the paper says an additional $60 in shipping & handling that's non-refundable plus they 20% restocking fee. Even, on a refurbished unit that amounts to a $102.00 plus try paying less than say about $40 to ship a 39 pound box by UPS. So, you're in the hole $1.42 plus no guarantee you'll get your money back. You really think they're going to mail you a check for the remaining $128.00
Luckily, I was very smart and dodged their scam bullet :) I gave a Wells Fargo Bank personal money order on the COD. As soon as I opened & got to see they were a scam. I immediately went back to my bank Wells Fargo. I did a stop payment on the money order.
I lost just the $29 is all which is the stop payment fee is all. I know for sure I would have lost way more than that if I didn't do that.
Then, I taped back the box carefully making it looked as unopened as possible. Like not covering any of the UPS stickers with the clear tape.
I went to the major Tempe, AZ. UPS distribution center. I told the guy at the counter, "It's unopened & I already stopped payment with my bank." "They showede the reciever as being small on the webpage." "But, the unit is huge & 39 pounds."
If you have any questions about the honesty of my review read for yourself the real deal they don't even give you until you already have that worthless unit in your home. Go to their tech support webpage:
www.support2009.com
You'll notice they talk totally differently than on their ordering page:
www.inphome.com
Do yourself a favor stick with your cable company's $6 digital cable tv box. Even, the HD box that Cox cable offers is just $12 a month.
If you ignore my warning. If you get screwed just remember I told you so in advance ;)"
"My digital unit(Phantom/Motorola) was delivered on time. It took several minutes to hook up.I got all my analog channels but no digital so I called my cable provider(Comcast) and I upgraded my service to digital. I gave them the serial# and unit address of my converter and I know have my digital programming I subscribe to.
I have seen a couple of complaints from people that say this product does not get digital programming. All they need to do is contact their service provider and get the unit activated for digital programming. I just ordered 2 more units for my other TV's. This will save me around $40 per month in rental fees. I never had a problem with Info Net Products tech support as the product I purchased from them realy does work."
"They do not issue invoice numbers. The Pheonix product was over 6 years old!!!!(Manufactured in 2002, possibly used??) The speaker hookup sounded terrible. Charged too much for insurance. Would not issue a refund code (so much for their 15 day guarantee). After paying for restocking fee and to ship back and insure, pretty much in the hole for product. Refund still not sent."
