"I attempted to purchase an old move from I,Magpie on 26 October 2005. I did not receive this item and altogether wrote 4 emails, called 3 times and wrote a letter, which was returned with the envelope marked "forwarding address expired". I decided to send one more email and this time did get an answer from a person named Connie who said that she didn't know what had happened to all my emails or the phone messages I left....However, she said they would mail the movie out to me. This was during January at which time I was away from home. I had to wait until 1 February to see if the movie had, in fact, arrived at my address. On returning home I found the movie in my mail. It took me from 26 October to, January 7th for the movie to arrive.....I had an email from "Connie" telling me it was shipped on 4 Jan and they had a signed receipt dated 7 Jan. So, after all this I did get my movie.....however, I will never order from these people again after the trouble I had to get it. They were ceretainly quick enough to charge my credit card, I must say. I hope other people who have thoughts of ordering from these people will have second thoughts about it and go somewhere else."
"WARNING- do not buy from this company. I placed an order for $95.00 worth of merchandise on 10-18-05 and put it on my credit card. It is now 12-2-05 and I have not received my merchandise or a status or a response to my repeated emails and telephone calls. I don't even receive any kind of automated acknowledgements to my repeated requests for a status on my order. When I call the "Customer Service" (what a joke) number on their website (a toll call), it goes to an answering machine that merely says "Leave a message" - no company identification, no anything. No one has ever picked up the phone. I'm a heavy user/consumer of online products and services and I can honestly say that I've never had an experience like this - where repeated customer requests for the status after a purchase (and 6 weeks after the purchase) are not even met with the pretense of concern. It demonstrates complete and utter disregard for the customer and for the principles of fair market practices. All I can say is that I wish I had found rhane's post on this site prior to ordering and warn any prospective customers to STAY AWAY !!!"
"My order with I, Magpie was simply lovely. They carry a lot of little British films I love and couldn't find elsewhere. I ordered five and received all within two weeks. Great communication with their fulfillment department. I plan to buy more from them once my budget permits.

"I ordered a VHS movie from Imagpie on 12-23-2004. They took full payment and sent me a confirmation email the next day. After about three weeks I emailed them asking what was the status of my order. No reply. I waited three days and emailed them again. No reply. I found their customer service number on their site and called them on 01-11-2005. I got no answer and no voicemail. I then called them the next day and finally someone answered the phone. I talked to Connie and she said the VHS was on backorder and she didn't know when it would come in. I asked to have the order canceled and she said no problem. I waited and waited and never saw a credit for the transaction. As of 1-21-2005 I emailed them and threaten I would report them to the BBB if they didn't credit my account. Within two hours I had an email stating they would credit my card.
I don't think the folks at Imagpie understand what customer service is and I am writing this in hopes that anyone thinking about shopping on their site would realize that they will not get the service they deserve.
......I am still waiting for the credit to show up on my online statement. Hopefully I get my moneyback......"
