"They just cut me off without a single phone call. I was a Ingram customer for 15 years and since I haven't purchased from them in a while they closed my account with no notice. The reason I have not dealt with them much lately is I am a small reseller and there handling fees and high prices for small customers makes it hard to deal with. I would still order from them ocassionally to keep my account active and then when I went to place an order I was told I was no longer an active customer. They SUCK"
"I am a small business and I placed a large (to me) order with Ingram, They repeatedly screwed up the order. Billed me for items not received and miss shipped items. This saga is going on a month and they owe me in excess of $5000. Not to mention time and stress. They used to be a good company to work with but they are terrible now. They have no customer support skills whatsoever. They keep saying they are sorry but not doing anything to resolve the problems. I am registering a complaint with HP Exec Customer Support but I don't know how much good that will do."
"their customer sales dept are just so incompetent!!! they made me wait for over 10mins each rep for a single easy problem that they just made so confusing. I spoke with 4 different reps and none of them were able to resolve my problem. we were on a conference call with their credit dept and the lady there said that the order should already be released. after a few mins i called again and they stil have not released the order and they are claiming that they still do not see our $4k payment that we wired. we wired it on the 1st and i showed them the receipt.. and they're telling me that the item we ordered already increased in price.. like heck!!! we already paid for it! they're just so difficult to work with!!!! "
"In terms of customer support and talking with their sales agents, it is absolutely terrible. We are able to negotiate prices as we have terms (if you are not able to negotiate then it is just too expensive), but speaking with their agents makes it horrible to even place an order. To make one order it can take a minimum of 30 minutes of phone time (most of which is just giving them an address).
Also, whenever placing orders via phone it adds room for human error. Many orders have been shipped incorrectly or the agent will forget to put "require signature" causing items to be "lost" by FedEx. When you call in to figure out what went wrong, they do generally take care of it, but the process can take up to a month or more. By that time, your customers are angry and they can start ruining your reputation.
We pretty much quit using Ingram Micro whenever possible just because of the ordering process and having to speak with their agents for price negotiations.
No wonder their agents always speak as if they expect someone to yell at them!"
"WARNING TO RESELLERS - Ingram has changed - I purchased 2 Acer tablet PC's from them in November. They sent me 3 and billed my credit card for all 3. When they arrived, one unit was DOA. When I tried to get them to take back the DOA and the extra one they sent me (their mistake), THEY REFUSED TO TAKE THEM BACK WITHOUT a 20% RESTOCKING FEE (over $500).
I argued with them for over 3 weeks about this and now am trying to pursue this through my credit card company. BUYER BEWARE - I would never purchase from Ingram again."
