"My Epson r1800 and I have been Inkjetfly customers for 4 years now. A custom printer profile is definitely necessary, but once I got one for the paper I use (velvet fine art), the prints have been beautiful.

I recently was having trouble with a set of cartridges I ordered, but Leo was dedicated to helping me, at his own expense. His customer service is top-notch. I can vouch for the Bigfoot CIS. Saves a ton of money, but be sure to print often!

"Great quality ink and support. I have bought 2 systems from inkjetfly for my printing studio. The system and ink work perfectly on my Epson Pro 3800 and 1430 printers. Very satisfied."

"I found this site for a bulk supply to my new Epson R2880. I will say that the inks are a good and proper gamut, matching the Epson OEM inks. This is where the customer relations end.
I spoke to the owner, Leo, and was assured he would stand behind his products. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

I have had several coversations with him, and always assured he would take care of the issue. (Resetting problems and printer jamming due to the arrangement of the tubing).

After trying to solve the problem 3 times on my own, I wrote to him asking for help. First, no response for 2 weeks, then a short set of unintelligible responses, then no response again.

I asked for responses from him 3 times, to no result. I've had it, and have already gone to another supplier.

STAY AWAY! You can send him money, but don't expect any meaningful help WHEN you have trouble. THIS PERSON IS A BAD SUPPLIER.

"I purchased a bigfoot CIS and one spare ink kit for my Epson R260 back in October 2008, what a great solution for my dvd printing needs!
I have printed more than 800 dvds from my football video editting business, all my kids homeworks and lots of photos since then without any problems and incredibly still have not run out of ink! the savings in Epson ink must be in the range of several hundred dollars.
I will buy another Epson printer for my office but not until I make sure it is compatible with an inkjetfly system.
Thanks alot Leo and inkjetfly!

"I bought an epson R1900 in october, I discovered that Epson ink were so expensive I could not go on buying epson OEM ink without going bankrupt! I made a research on internet to find a solution an I fund Inkjetfly. I use their ink intensively and I am more than satisfy. The print quality is excellent, as good and even better than with Epson OEM ink. I calibrate my monitor with a Spyder 3 and what I see on it is what I get in print. No problen whatsoever with Injetfly service, excellent communication with Leo. I use their ICC profile service to create a Profile for my Printer/Monitor and the result give beautifull rendering of color and gradation. "

"I have used IJF r1800 CIS for over 2 years now and am thrilled with it even still ... I did switch to a Bigfoot system about 6 months ago and it is even better for me than the older due to its great ink capacity.
I have never had a bad experience other than an initial install problem caused by my own ignorance - which Leo quickly set me straight on.
To keep this short:
Ink- the IJF ink is simply wonderful: art prints done 2 years ago show absolutely no color degradation and remain strikingly beautiful.
(I do use PrintFix Pro to do my own profiles - love that also! )
"Clogging" - due to my work i must leave the printer unused for up to 2 weeks at a time ... normally there is never a problem at all (I do run 1 purge print every 2 days to be safe)... after a 2 week sit I must run a purge print, run "auto-clean", let sit an hour .. run nozzle check and clean, purge print, let sit overnight - perfect checks after that every time. This is, in my experience, far better results than I had with the original Epson cartridges !!
I simply do NOT have routine "clogging" issues.
Fidelity: with the profiles I am able to make complete matches, even in dark detail areas of complex art prints. The inks have not shown any color-shifting in over 2 years (either from storage or manufacturing faults).
Service: most excellent
I do need to state that I was the person who pushed Leo to develop Canon CIS, and he did have me run initial tests on that system - for which I received 2 free Canon CIS units and ink. Other than that he has never paid me a cent and I am not "employed" by the company nor have any interests in it, in fact, i have never even met Leo in person.
Negative reviews simply get me going ... they often are NOT legitimate when about the top 3 CIS companies... They caused me to initially try a CIS company that did have ink problems and much grief ... They made me hesitate to use this great system.
I would not part with my IJF CIS for anything. If you print much, the rewards are amazing.

Enjoy! BillB

"This review is about the Inkjetfly Bigfoot CIS for the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 printer. Other printers may behave differently.

I had nothing but trouble since I purchased this system. I was hoping to save some money and some time by having larger ink tanks that supply ink continuously and it turned out to be a waste of both my time and my money. The four main drawbacks of the system are:

- Whenever the printer "primes" - when it's turned on, or after a paper jam, or when the ink usage counter in one of the cartridges goes beyond a certain level - the printer simply stops printing. The nozzle check produces printouts that are mainly blank (missing nozzles), and doing a head clean doesn't help - if at all it makes things worse. The only solution is to wait quite a few hours, usually at least 12 hours, to let the ink "settle", and then do several head cleaning cycles. If you need the printer during this time, you're out of luck. Not to mention the ink and material (sometimes expensive material) wasted during the process.

- The inks produce a red cast that cannot be corrected. The profile I downloaded from the seller's site was totally useless. I ordered a "custom profile" from them and it didn't change anything. I then ordered an expensive professional profile elsewhere, and I'm still having a red cast that is getting worse as time passes. It seems that the ink colors are so off-balance that no profile can correct them.

- From time to time there's "bleeding" between the inks - a certain color has areas that contain another color (e.g. some red inside the yellow). Cleaning the printing areas according to the instructions given by the seller doesn't help (but time helps, until next time).

- The printouts are VERY dull compared to the original ink, especially on glossy/luster paper and CD/DVD media.

I communicated numerous times with the seller and was offered advise that didn't help. When I asked for a replacement or a refund, I was told that they are a small business and cannot afford to replace or refund.

Stay away.

"InkjetFly provides excellent customer service and I've been very satisfied with their service. I bought 2 systems from them, and have been generally satisfied with both. When my printer stopped recognizing one system, after a couple support phone calls, they offered to replace my entire system for free. No questions asked. I couldn't ask for better support. "
