"I called in for a reason, maybe cause their website is awful to navigate. Instead of a helpful experience, I felt interrogated. It was uncomfortable and upsetting just trying to get a replacement on my screen protector that broke. Very unnecessary. Otter Box’s website is extremely user friendly and their service is prompt & easy…"
"Scam! (Zagg warranty replacement)
I copied another "customer's" most recent review, it is exactly happened to me as stated below. The first time I paid to ship the broken protectors to them but wasn't happy about it. This time, I went to an "Authorized Dealer" so I wouldn't have to pay shipping cost. The dealer wanted to charge a return fee (which included an installation fee) of $10. I contacted customer service to see options. They offered three ways for warranty replacement which ALL required their "customer" paying to ship the old protector to them! What is the point of the authorized dealer? I worked for Mercedes-Benz for 12 years responsible for warranty part returns and Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) would asked back for parts if they believed there was an issue so they could do testing to resolve. Mostly, we were told to throw away defective parts. MBUSA trust their dealers to decide if a valid warranty claim was appropriate (and sometimes customers would try to get away with false claims) and handle it with the customer. NEVER did we make the customer PAY to return VALID warranty parts back (if needed), let alone, charge the "customer" to PAY for installation either! I owned a Iphone 4s for 6 years without a screen protector with no issues. Zagg's have cracked on my phone twice in a year (and so has my wife's and daughter's) which customer service says it usually happens to most people 4-5 per year! What a product, a "warranty" they pass the cost to their "customers". Also, a product it seems to be designed to prematurely crack ensuring continuous replacement. This business model is called planned obsolescence and purely PROFIT driven! I WON'T BE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN and neither should you!
Another "customer" review:
"I’d give them 0 stars if I could. I purchased an InvisibleShield for my iPhone. I was told if anything happened to my screen I could bring it to the kiosk at our mall and they could replace it for free. The shield was scratched immediately after purchasing. Then the shield started lifting up. Mind you, I take the very best care of my phone. I’ve never had any issues. I bought the shield as a precaution. When I asked them to replace my shield the wanted to charge me $10. I have a warranty. What kind of “lifetime warranty” is that? I already paid $40 for this. Piece of crap... don’t even bother.""
"Zagg protectors were good when they first came out. Now...not at all! Their Ultra Clear Invisible Shield screen protector is impossible to install without wrinkles or bubbles - there's no way to do it. And forget about free replacements! They aren't free.
Don't waste your money or time with Zagg products. Customer service is non-existent."
"Bought a screen protector for my apple watch and it peeled off within a few months. The website for the warranty continues to crash so I contacted their authorized dealers and the told me it would be $10. I bought the screen protector for $15 and the free lifetime warranty will cost me $10. Never will purchase again"
"Lady was very rude and disrespectful"
"Stay away from that product. Shity products .expensive to replace it and they will never protect your phone. I paid $80 for two phones one of them completely damaged and could not get it replaced and the other one did n't protect my iPhone"
"I like many others love to use zagg as a screen protector. However upon attempting to fulfill a warranty replacement for a crack on my protector. I was referred to this store by website as a possibility for warranty replacement.
However like many others, upon arriving I was told that there would be a $10 shipping fee for my warranty replacement and an additional $15 to install it. Naturally I contacted zagg and was told that they do not have control over the franchise locations and their behaviors.
Charging a customer for a shipping fee that you are being paid for again by zagg since they are warranty replacements is nothing less than fraud and should be prosecuted for.
Worst experience by anyone carrying The zagg name."
"Paid 40.00$ for a screen protector it broke first day no problem they said life time warranty . Not true they want 10 more dollars fro a replacement. Customer Service is rude slow and insulting "
"I purchased this screen shield on May 31,2019 5 pm in the afternoon before June 1st 12 pm this was cracked. Verizon replaced the screen after a lengthy discussion with Management asking had the phone been dropped etc... (The phone was in a pocket in my purse the phone being the only item in there) Round 2: Replaced the screen shield June 1st with the new one finally able to get all of the air bubbles out with the crinkle in the shield. June 4th its broken again. This product has to be the absolute worst I have ever purchased. I have spent $50, 2 Shields later and neither has lasted a full week. If Verizon would return my money for this I would definitely get it back. What happens if the phone is actually dropped with this screen protections on I guess I won't be getting much protection!!"
"Initially, the idea of getting free replacements on damaged screen protectors seemed like a great idea ... even though the cost was way higher than any other one ($50). Well, it didn't take long and it broke - you can't get a replacement at the store (Best Buy) like Zagg's site says - Best Buy doesn't carry them. So I paid the shipping cost ($2) to get a replacement. Now the second one broke and shipping is $6! Totally ridiculous! At this rate, it won't take long and I'll be purchasing the screen protector over and over again! It will be cheaper to go on Amazon and get a 3-pack of something for $6. If I could give Zagg a zero rating, I would! And Best Buy won't get a good rating either for not advising me upfront that the don't carry the item in-store!"
"The fact is: you'll pay for your replacement. Similar to other negative reviews, I had two screens break within a very short period of time (3 months). I made the mistake of not registering the first one, but after it broke within two months and I was forced to buy a new one, I made sure to register the second one. Compare this with not having a single screen break in 8 years prior to getting a Zagg screen protector.
Not only do you have to pay an inflated shipping price for the replacement, you must send back the defective product or be charged the full replacement price. It is all more of an inconvenience than it is worth. #Verizon (where I purchased the screen protector) and other stores should stop carrying the product."
"$40 and lifetime replacement...ha! Broke within 30 days and you have to pay shipping to receive new one....and pay shipping to send in broken one!"
"Me parece que estan de acuerdo con verizon me lo vendieron en 50 se que pude haberlo comprado en el kiosko x 10 dollares pero no que arriesgar no telefono y compre el "original" mi te se cayo y se desprendio el protector asi k mi tel ahora esta crakiado y tengo que pagar 200 dlls para reemplazarlo aparte o sorpresa la "garantia" ni es gratis page 10 dlls y me MANDARON AL KIOSKO!!! NO TIREN SU DINERO."
"Sent me a replacement.. i sent the old one back and they still took £24.99 from my credit card!
Scammers"
"I bought one for my S9+ from the Verizon store when I bought my phone. The salesperson lied to me about the warranty. He told me it was lifetime free replacement. He installed the shield and never gave me the packaging. If he had, I would have been able to read the fine print telling me that it wasn't "free". Instead I found this out 3 days later when I took my cracked "shield" (lmao) to a mall kiosk for my replacement. I was then told that there was a 10 dollar "convenience fee". WTAF? The employee at the kiosk was extremely rude and condescending. She tried to tell me that I shouldn't put my phone in my purse, that if my keys touched it it could break. How is this protection I ask you? If your shield breaks because it touched keys? Wow, just wow.
I paid the 10 bucks because I had already invested 50 and that was a big mistake. 6 hours after the new one was installed it was also cracked and chipped. Big f'ing rip off. Stay away. They dont sell protection, they are running the long con. They have actually sold you the right to give them 10 dollars a week, a month, every 6 weeks..., believe me, you will pay. After I saw the crack in the new one I removed it, crushed it, and said "good riddance." An expensive lesson, but one well learned. Stick to the plastic screen covers that cost practically nothing. Report your experience with this cheap product to Verizon and tell them to stop selling this shoddy product .Total scam and Verizon is complicit. "
