"I ordered a pump "pot" online 2-Mar and received it on 5-Mar. This is a plastic part that holds a strainer and sits in front of the water pump. It uses plastic tabs to hold it to the pump and 2 of the 4 tabs were broken off. I immediately sent pictures of the part and the broken tabs laying next to it as well as the order number using Inyo's online message system. Got an email on Monday telling me they needed pictures of the pump for warranty??? Sent a note back immediately explaining there was no pump, just the broken strainer pot and two additional parts (o-ring and pump seal). They wasted a day because they didn't read the email or look at the order, just reacted to lay blame on the pump manufacturer. The two additional parts arrived on 9-Mar in a separate mail.
Inyo wanted more pictures including six sides of the box, the address label on the box, and the damaged part again. Over a week since I ordered the part and they are still "reviewing".
--Update: the "warehouse approved a re-order on this item" on 11-Mar and it was delivered 15-March.
FYI - no way to contact or speak with them except through email. They offer 'chat' on their website, but the command button is pure fiction - it does nothing.
It would have taken a good deal of rough handling to break the tabs off the strainer pot by throwing the package/box around during freight and the box was in pristine condition. Possible the warehouse did not know the part was broken, but that doesn't change the story. They had pictures the part was broken the day it was delivered."
