"Horrible! Absolutely Horrible! I bought an IRIS Air7 pen and paid for two day shipping. It has been over three weeks. when I bought it they said that they had it in supply, but now that I bought it the say that they have inventory issues. They keep on postponing the shipping date. I am starting to wonder if they are ever going to get there sh*t together. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with online shopping. To be perfectly honest I am surprised that they are even still in business. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY from these people, if you want your item before you turn to dust, this is not a practical choice. If you are dead set on purchasing your item, then I would highly recommend that you try amazon or any other place. Anywhere but here. I am writing this comment for people so that they do not fall into the same trap I did. "
"My wireless mouse malfunctioned during the warranty period. I'm told by the retailer (Irislink SA) that the company that manufactured the mouse does not exist anymore and that they therefor cannot assist me. I have been struggling for many months to sort this out, but I now realise they will not assist me."
"This company manufactures IRIS pens and software for OCR. Their main office is in Belgium, and perhaps my issues with them are not issues at all but simply a cultural difference.
In any case, I wanted to try their OCR software ' ReadIris Pro for Mac'. Their site has a large 'try it free' button. Only you can't try it free, you have to buy it with a 30-day money back guarantee. Ok, I don't like the mild deception, but I wanted to try it enough that I went through the purchase process.
The software flat out didn't work. It ran without crashing but returned gibberish when I tried to use the OCR feature. There is NO live customer or tech support. There is an office in Florida, with a phone number, but I was never able to reach a person, just voice mail. I never received a response to my messages.
In any case, to receive a refund I had to fill in a Letter of Destruction stating I would destroy the software. Done. It took over 2 weeks for them to acknowledge receiving that letter/request for refund -- there wasn't even an automailer confirming my email. I just received that confirmation 'credit note' today, with the message that it will take another '5-10 open days' (I suppose that means business days) for the credit to be issued.
So, they're a legitimate business and hopefully I will get a refund, but they are far from customer-friendly. "
