"Need a bathing suit fast. No problem, found a cute one online at JCP. It would arrive the day before I am scheduled to leave on vacation. One week later I receive notice the order has been cancelled, they will issue a refund. Apparently what I ordered is no longer in stock. So why did they advertise it and why did they process my payment? Very swiftly I might add. I leave in three days...no refund. I budgeted for one suit, I need my money back to purchase another. I'm glad that they are going out of business"

"I went to jcpenny.com to order some puppy dog pals items for my son. I ordered a BLUE puppy dog pals towel. When it arrived it was a PINK minni mouse towel. I gave them the benefit of a doubt so I called and they ordered another one without refunding me for the last one. Once again the wrong towel. The stickers were correct but the item wasnt. They wanted me to go return it at the store. No thanks that store is in the next town over. I dont have time for that. Thats why I ordered online Duh!! Im never ordering from them again. "
"Customer Service transfer me to 'Corporate Relations' spoke with VETTA. She was Rude and Condescending, didn't make any attempt to clarify why I only got 50% of the amount charged when I returned the items purchased online to the Northridge store within 3 week from arrival All she said is that she's in Ohio and I needed to go back to the store where I did the return because she wasn't there at the time of the return ???
When I mentioned that she was been rude and that expected more from Corporate Relations, that even the person who transfer me to her was much courteous, she responded that she's in the Corporate offices and SUPERIOR to the person who transferred me !! Really ?
She decided to transfer me to another lady who 2 minutes in the conversation disconnected
Third person I spoke with was a male named Lency, said that the return was done the night before and that I needed to call back after 3 days when the charges show on my credit card. Don't they have records of transactions ?
Seems like no-one is willing make any effort to help. Too bad, I used to like JC Penney "
"I ordered a mattress and box springs from JCPenney's on November 22, 2018. Finally got the mattress and box springs on February 5, 2019, after multiple phone calls to Penney's and the delivery company they use. I have wasted hours on the phone and on hold trying to get my order! I asked JCPenney's to credit the cost of delivery ($75) to be credited back to my account as compensation for the delay and inconvenience. JCPenney's said they would compensate me for the price of delivery of $75 with a gift card. So far I have not received the gift card, and upon calling Penney's customer service, they researched the issue and said it is NOT their fault the delivery company took so long and that is the reason I have not received the gift card. The issue is now going to corporate for final decision as to whether I will receive a gift card because their policy is that gift cards (appeasements) are only given when JCPenney is not at fault. Still waiting to hear from corporate, but I will not be holding my breath. JCPenney IS at fault....I paid for the goods and it was like pulling teeth to get my order. JCPenney hires their delivery service....it is up to JCPenney to make sure their customers get their goods in a timely manner. I will NEVER do business with JCPenney again! If you want good customer service and company who cares about it's customers, shop somewhere else!
UPDATE: Still have not heard from corporate. Good thing I didn't hold my breath or I'd be dead. "
"bought 2 appliance from jc penny store in clermont fl only to told that delivery is out of their hands and it is a 3rd party provider name GE eneterprise that will call you couple hrs before and said that they will be between 2 and 6pm to deliver, call the delivery office and ask for a specific time because customers have a lot of things to do or either working,ask for 3.30pm i be home but guy shows up before 2 pm and said if you are not home it goes back to warehouse although you paid jc penny for the appliance they service ****,in these ages where their are amazon,fed ex,ups,usps, deliver without signature. i would not buy again anything from jc penny appliances or either GE products from jc penny"

"I bought almost $400 worth off good from JCP online. The items just arrived when I happens to check back and there has been a significant price drop in two of the items. I reached out to jcp customer service but they refuse to price match the items. They told me the only way is to return the items and then order them again! I’m not sure why they couldn’t process the return and then re-run the transaction with the new lower price! Not satisfied!!! Will not shop here again. "
"Went in to return a item that was too small for my daughter . Did not have Receipt but I let the cashier know it was under my rewards phone number . She asked for my id i asked her why if it’s under my phone number . She didn’t bother looking it up. She was going to give the lowest price sold . Which I told I wasn’t taking it it . Why should I get less then what I paid for it . What the purpose Of The Who rewards program? Where did all the training to provide great customer service go? "Went to JC Penney on 11\8 purchased 4 appliances fridge, stove, microwave,and dishwasher delivery date 11\28 between 1130 and 330 At 3:19 we got a call there truck broke down but someone was still coming out At 730 I called JC Penney No one was coming out No one came out on 11\29 or 11\30 Can't cancel my order because it's a 15% surcharge and They all ready took my money out of my account Over $2200.00 and will not credit back for 14 days No one has ever called me from JCPENNEY to reschedule I'm on the phone for the last 3 days trying to find out when my appliances are coming Still haven't gotten an answer Someone will call you back What am I supposed to do now No appliances and no money for 14 days"
"I ordered a few items online, online it said my items are ready for pick up. I had someone go into the store to collect the items and they tell the person it’s not there. Jcpenny is so unprofessional, I called the customer hotline they are telling me it’s in the store I explained the to them the store says they don’t have it. So now I don’t have the product that I’ve paid my money for! I’ve never experienced this with any other company.. I won’t be buying anything from here again I’ll also be canceling my credit cards!!
