"Found a listing for an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro on Pricegrabber.com, list price of $156.00! Good deal, I thought. Read their reviews and ratings, and decided to order. Item was listed as in stock. Went to their website to double check, as this is a hard card to find right now; card was listed as available at an "alternate warehouse", usually ships same day. I ordered the card on a Saturday.
Printed my order confirmation, and waited to get my "email notification message within 24 hours".
Monday afternoon I get a message on my answering machine that my order has been cancelled, please call, blah, blah. Called and talked to an operator who was very nice. She did not know why the order was cancelled, and offered to transfer me to the sales manager who had left me the message. During the transfer, I was hung up on.
Called again, transferred again; left a voicemail as the manager was in a meeting at the time. The manager was very prompt calling me back, very apologetic. The order was cancelled, I was informed, because the part they were selling was listed wrong, and at the wrong price. Was a Sapphire 9500 (NOT Pro), not an ATI 9500 Pro. The card I ordered was not available, was offered a Radeon 9600 instead, which is a lesser card. (She admitted that none of the over 200 customers that had ordered the 9500 during this fiasco had accepted the 9600 in it's place.)
After I refused the 9600, I was basically told that they would keep loking and give me a call if they found any, but other than that, sorry nothing we can do.
Now I understand that this is a hard part to come by, but I am still very disappointed with the experience I had here. Being a first time order from this company, with this kind of error and letdown, I can honestly say that I will not order from them again."
