"I purchased two of these antennas directly from J&M. The SWR reading for my stock Harley antenna was 3.0 on Ch1 and about 1.5 on Ch40. With the J&M antenna using two spacers under it, I could get Ch1 down to 2.1 and Ch40 at 1.1, not bad but the antenna is a little short for the radio. With the second identical J&M antenna, the reading was Ch1 3.0 and Ch40 1.1. Why such a difference for identical antennas tuned by J&M? I contacted them via chat and they said the 2.1/1.1 readings were good because the antenna is tuned for AM/FM/CB/WB. They couldn't explain the difference between the two antennas but said it wouldn't hurt anything...
Then I tried to print and email the chat session and the closed it very quickly!
I have to question their customer service as well. Why didn't they just offer to replace the one antenna?
For me, it was a $52 lesson. I won't purchase anymore J&M products!

If you have to be defended in a Forum ( hdforums.com/forum/audio… ) by another person. Ya know something is wrong. You can do a search on your own and make your determination as to user experience. Use the link above. The quality of the product is being exposed truly in this forum. I only wished I had this information when I was trying to get real user experience. I ended up spending a little under half I spent with this junk and my new sound is way better, louder, and economical. I gave their junk away. It was not worth the headache in case the guy was unhappy like I was."
"Beware of this business, they do not stand behind their product. I purchased a helment and two sets of audio speakers for my new helment and my husbands helment. These were purchased and installed immediately by their employee on October 19, 2008. On March 6, 2009 we visited the vendor booth in Daytona Beach to have them check out the crackling noise in my husbands helment. The owner/president, John Lazzeroni waited on us and immediately said the windsock was on backwards, he said they did not install the headset and refused to check the headset. He repeatedly called me a liar. This product was under warranty and all we asked for to have the headset checked for problems."
