"Ordered a dozen sets of guitar strings. They provide no shipping or tracking information what so ever. After 2 weeks I tried to call, several times, but no one ever answered. I sent an email and got a response a few days later stating there was an unexpected delay and the strings would be delivered in 4 more days. Two days later I got an email saying that their website was being updated and the strings I ordered were no longer available... I don't understand what that means... makes no sense. "Completely lazy and inept, and totally nonexistent customer service - avoid at all costs. I ordered a preamp I needed for a gig from Jacks and gave it a month to spare, not realizing that Jacks is building a reputation for not being able to deliver in a timely fashion. I started calling them and sending emails three weeks into the ordeal and failed to get a SINGLE RESPONSE. Finally found they had a Facebook page and told them I was concerned - was actually surprised when somebody responded, promising I'd have the item the following Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and no preamp. So we are contesting the charge and will be refusing all packages from Jacks and meanwhile I have had to order another unit and pay extra for a rush delivery.
When I told Jacks that I was refusing their business, they basically said 'OK'. They weren't even sorry. Three things you can be certain about Jacks is that they don't care about you, they don't care about their complete sham of a business and they don't care about their plummeting reputation.
Why would anybody ever knowingly do business with a company that won't return calls or emails? Avoid. "
"Very Poor Customer Service. Ordered a plastic recorder for my child's school music class over 2 1/2 weeks ago (was supposed to arrive in 7-10 business days )and still have not received it. After numerous emails received a reply that the warehouse was closed and would not be shipping my order until next week. The music class started last week so I had to purchase another recorder. Still not sure when (or if) I will receive the recorder I purchased at Jack's Music Store. I will never order anything from them again and recommend no one else does either. "

"Really poor customer service. Every person I talked to on the phone was unhelpful, curt and short with me. Four days after I ordered, it still had not shipped and I had received no tracking information. After calling and asking for a tracking number I simply received an e-mail stating an expected delivery date. Called back in three days later asking for a tracking number and I was told the order still hadn't been processed. I received a tracking number finally later that day - the day the package arrived. Never again will I order from this company."
"Never again!! Paid with PayPal. Never got an order confirmation. After calling them for over a week I finally got a response saying my order was just now "cleared for processing" A week later I was sent a tracking number, and a day or 2 later it was actually sent, ups ground. They didn't put the full address on the label even though it was correct on my order, so 8 days later the package was sent back. Nearly a month later now and the recording of my album and the time in the studio is over and we never got to use the instrument I ordered special for the recording."
"I placed my order on 3/26/12 and paid via PayPal (thank god). I was told I would receive my order by 4/3. I waited until 4/10 and still did not receive it so I emailed them. I did not receive a reply until I disputed my PayPal payment. I then received a reply in a couple of hours. Their reply is below. Also note that I have not been refunded yet. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS!

"Poor customer service. I ordered a Suzuki bass melodica from Jacks Music Store last September, and I received it within one week. However, the melodica that I received was defective, so I emailed customer service to ask if I could exchange it. Jacks never actually emailed me back, but I did receive an email from Suzuki, who had apparently been contacted by Jacks on my behalf. Suzuki was very helpful, and they exchanged my defective melodica for a new one, but once I received it, I was disappointed to find out that the second melodica suffered from the same defect as the first. At this point I emailed Jacks again and asked if could just return the melodica for a refund, but they told me that melodicas were not eligible for refunds due to health laws, and they said that they would tell Suzuki's customer service department to contact me. I waited a few weeks, and I never heard back from Jacks or Suzuki. At some point, I just decided to take apart the melodica and see if I could find the problem myself instead of dealing with customer service. Turns out the problem was pretty easy to locate. Took me about 10 minutes to fix it with a small bottle of super glue.
On one hand, it's not Jacks' fault that Suzuki manufactured a crap product with poor quality control, but on the other hand, I was kind of annoyed that they just flat out refused to refund my money even though the product they sold me was just completely defective and unplayable. I also thought it was kinda weird that they just kept referring me to Suzuki's customer service department instead of just taking care of the problem themselves. Definitely won't be ordering anything else from Jacks' in the future."
"Bad customer service. When I attempted to order a product the online shopping matrix said I could get 5-8 day shipping for free and 3-5 day for an additional 4.71. the next morning I received an email stating that it was being shipped 5-8 business day shipping. When I emailed customer service to ask why it was shipping 5-8 day I was given a very terse response with no real answer as to why I did not get the shipping method I had paid for. When I responded again I never received a response from the customer service rep but I did get an email stating my order had been cancelled. I have since sent 2 additional emails and called the customer service number and left a voicemail, none of which have been responded to."
