"Bought three bare roots from them in two separate orders. Only one survived. One bare root was in bad condition which should not ever be shipped out to customer. "
"WILL NEVER BUY FROM JACKSON & PERKINS AGAIN,DELIVERY NEVER HAPPENS AS PROMISED.ROSE BUSHES ARE JUST A STEM WHEN THEY ARRIVE,SPENT 400.00 AND WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS"
"I cant believe J&P would lie about what they sell, it's not Christmas Cactus but Thanksgiving cactus, big difference. i even emailed Marina before ordering and i was assured it's the real thing because i know the difference. plant arrived much smaller and thinner than what is shown on their web site, pitiful. totally disappointed for over $100.00 with shipping from South Carolina to North Carolina. will not purchase from or recommend J&P ever again."
"If you place an order online at jacksonandperkins.com they will confirm your order with zero sales tax but then charge you sales tax when they process your credit card. I wonder how many people even notice. When I called to complain, they told me that if you place an order over the phone, they do tell you how much sales tax is on the order. But not when you order online."
"ordered 1 rose and 2 Echinaceas. Order #WEBJP4325340, Received the rose in nice condition. The 2 Echinaceas were water logged, foul smelling and rotted. Then someone cramned a bunch of hay on top of the water logged plants. Needless to say, they were DOA and rotted. These were $18.99 each. I've tried several times with emails to reach this company. Of course, no reply. I would like a refund for these. I included several pictures with the email. I will not do business with J&P again. The customer care service seems non- existent."
"I spend nearly 25$ for each plant and bought 3 plants. I received 3 half-dead twigs. They don't even have free shipping. In fact, the more money you spend, the more shipping cost you pay. I hate this company so much, my blood boils. In the end, i spend almost $90 on dead plants. "
"Shipped 3 bare root roses late and then across the country during the worst freeze wave in years. They were this twigs, grade #2 and brown. I wrote and said they looked dead and asked why they shipped in the freeze? They said don't worry. 3 months later, they are dark brown in the ground and dead. My request for replacement or refund has been ignored. I would never buy from them again. Grubbing money."
"I bought 5 rose bushes from them of which 2 are no where close to the color they advertise. An orange rose turned out to be white and another red - orange turned to be pink-yellow. Never again buying from them."
"I purchased 14 bare root rose trees and 11 were dead. I contacted the company and they provided Epsom salt mix instructions. They asked for scratch tests and I failed to provide due to my right frozen arm (4 months). 90 days guarantee is over. These pants were bad from start. Don't buy from this company."
"I am a long time grower of roses. I well remember the old Jackson and Perkins. When I heard that they had been bought by Park Seed I was very reluctant to order from them because of some bad experience with Park Seed. This year I placed an order for 3 roses to see if they were good quality. Only 1 of the three was anything that I would feel was acceptable. I called and was promised that they would resend with a product that I would like. The reorder was worst than the first. As long as Park Seed owns them I will never reorder. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU WILL GET BURNED"
"Ordered the following on January 17, 2020
5 - #26062 Red Ribbons® Groundcover Rose and 5 - #37419 Wedding Dress® Groundcover Rose.
When the Pandemic hit my wife and I retreated to the North Woods to distance ourselves from the Virus. We notified J&P to not ship our roses until May as we will not be home to receive them It is now April 17th and received a notice from UPS that our roses will be delivered tomorrow. YIKES!!! There is 4 inches of snow on the ground at our home and we are not there. The roses will sit on our doorstep until next month when we return. Hello J&P - Do you not listen to your people answering your phones or read your emails??? We contacted you in late March both by phone and by email explaining no one will be at our residence until MAY!! I could ask a neighbor to put the package in our garage - but the garage is heated!! Not sure how long they will last in a heated garage and with snow on the ground they cannot be planted. VERY DISAPPOINTED!"
"Don't buy ANYTHING from these shysters! i'd give them NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could!!! Spent $25 on a rose bush, it arrived dead and they refused to replace the plant or refund my money. They gave me some song and dance about me living outside the zone the plant would grow in, but there is NOWHERE on their site that states the guarantee is void if you live outside a certain zone (even if it's only about 5 miles according to their map). Zero integrity, zero customer service!!"
"DO NOT BUY FROM Jackson & Perkins! it will be a total cheat!
We have recently bought 5 x 2-Quart 'Iceberg' roses at $25.95 each.
We knew they would be delivered bare-root so that immediately after we received them we have planted them all in the same area together with other roses.
1 rooted.
The other 4 died soon after.
We contacted J&P with the pictures, and original tags, of the dead roses to have them replaced.
They never replied.
We've ended up to pay a 2-Quart bare-root rose $129.75!

"I wrote this review on the Jackson and Perkins Website but they will never publish it so I will publish it here in the hope it saves someone from such an unpleasant buying experience-
I ordered the Summer Nights Rose as it looked beautiful and I ordered another rose as well. Imagine my surprise when the 2 roses arrived with their heads all tangled together and multiple branches broken. There was nothing in the packaging to keep the two roses separate or to keep the roses from bouncing around in the shipping box. I did notify J&P and asked for a response but none came. I nursed both roses hoping for a recovery but Summer Nights has never been anything but dead, broken branches, and no leaves even after three weeks. The other rose is trying to hold on and has one leaf. Pathetic. I tried calling J&P customer service several days and the first day I waited 38 minutes before giving up, the second attempt I held for over an hour and then the call disconnected, and today after a 26 minute wait I was connected to a person.
J&P used to be a good company but my orders last year were poor quality and this year's disaster has guaranteed I won't be buying from J&P ever again. There are lots of reputable nurseries in the USA but sadly J&P isn't on that list any longer."
" Two of the 3 Simplicity roses died, despite heroic efforts. Contact with Customer Service via phone is impossible. Email was no better. 10 days after first attempt, I got a note that they were very busy. So am I--looking for a new source. Avoid at all costs. They have a slick catalog, but no substance in their organization.
