"I would NOT recommend this vendor to anyone. My boyfriend's 30th birthday present was almost spoiled due to Jacobtime. Their site said they had an item in stock and ready to ship within one business day. It DID NOT say it was special order. I heard absolutely nothing from them until I called to inquire about the watch. Customer service then informed me they didn't really have one and that it was a special order item. I explained the site did not currently reflect that and all they had to say was it was a mistake. They even took a tone with me as though it was my fault. The good news is that they didn't quibble about canceling the order. I didn't have time to see if they could find one for me. I asked to have the cancellation confirmed by email which was done promptly. Luckily my bank took this email to release the funds so I could quickly find another watch (it was pretty pricey - almost $2K) because the transaction was still showing pending with Jacobtime. If not, it's likely I would have had nothing at all. And here's the best part!!! Their site STILL SAYS the item will ship within one business day. This "mistake" was discovered over two weeks ago. Ugh... Stay away from this vendor. It's not worth the risk considering there are other comparably priced vendors out there with real customer service."

I've ordered a BRAND NEW Citizen Calibre 3100 (BT0000-58L) from them that didn't have not even a single tiny scratch or blemish on it (and believe me I inspected it very very closely cuz I'm VERY picky) for just $135!!! The cheapest price that I found anywhere else was $280, and its suggessted price is $475!! Btw, It's solar powered and has a PERPETUAL calendar!! "Thank God I ordered BEFORE reading the last review posted or I would never have ordered! I could not disagree more! My experience was 100% positive. I ordered a $2500 Movado diamond watch for about 40% off. It was 100% authentic, new in the box, included all papers, and perfect in every way.
Two things. Because another reviewer said Jacobtime said a watch was in stock and it really was not, I ordered it next day air (requiring it be sent out that day or I wouldn't buy it). Also, I had him call down to the warehouse to double check it was in stock. (It was in stock and arrived the next day as promised.) The second thing is my phone order was transferred to rep who took my order on what was obviously a cell phone. Frankly, this made me nervous. I mean, how many reputable businesses takes orders by cell phone? None that I know of! But I called their main jewelry store's New York 800# before being transferred. The rep was clearly American. And I knew I could charge it back if there was a problem. So I went ahead, and as I said above, it all worked out.
But come on Jacobtime. Do yourself a favor. List your New York Jewelry store's street address, list the store's 800#, and have your order reps use a landline only. This will make everyone much more comfortable and increase your on-line business dramatically. So do I recommend them? If you order it they way I did above, absolutely yes!"

"So here is my story: originally ordered item was not in stock ( I called in and their customer service rep. told me it’ll only take them a few days to get that model from a different retailer so I felt pretty confident about placing my order with jacobtime.com ) 4 days later I called them again just for a follow up and another rep. told me that for some reason they couldn’t locate that particular model .. he was very apologetic and offered to either get a different model or a refund. I ended up getting a different model ( like it event better than the one I ordered at first ) and he also upgraded my shipping for free ( got my package even sooner than expected ) also the new item price was higher but he offered to match it for me!!! So overall it was a great experience and the watch is just gorgeous! 100% authentic (took them to the jewelry store to get sized and was assured once again in their authenticity ), outstanding customer service and the best price you can find! "I purchased Tag Heuer watch (CJF2115.BA0576) at a very competitive rate
I found my queries were answered fairly swiftly, even considering the time difference between the UK and USA.
The only downside is the requirement to pay for the goods using a service called Paily this adds approx $70 to the total cost, however that said they were willing to dispatch the watch to an alternative address such as vacation hotel within the states. Note the purchaser must organise an alternative shipping address to their billing address with their credit supplier. This obviously meant savings on transatlantic postage and taxes which was a nice bonus! However its still annoying if you have gone to the trouble of obtaining approval from your credit card company for this change, then its quite obvious the fee for the purchase has also been authorised, so why pay Paily?"

"I decided to purchase a RADO ceramica multifunction watch R21324152. Retail watch prices in England are very high, I could save hundreds of dollars if I bought it online from a USA-based retailer. Some online research answered my questions such as "Can these low-cost versions be genuine?" yes, most seem to be. "What about Warranty?" the retailer may handle warranty, not necessarily the original manufacturer (because you are not buying through an "authorised" retailer). "What about import duty and tax ?" Yes I had to pay well over a hundred UK Pounds for this.. do your research and you will not be surprised. After an aborted attempt with another retailer, I tried Jacob Time. Very slick. I placed the order online, it was shipped the next day. Jacob Time replied to emails promptly, they shipped using UPS, good tracking. The watch arrived a few days later.

A spotless, working, genuine, beautiful watch arrived, supplied in original box, intact serial number, a warranty card (blank as expected) and Warranty booklet; But the instruction booklet for the multifunctions was missing. I contacted Jacob Time, they emailed me a PDF version and also posted the missing booklet to me (they didn't explain why the booklet was missing in the first place)

Lessons learned:
1. Do your research on all likely costs (PAILY fees, poor currency exchange rates, shipping fees, import duty and tax, getting it sized locally).
2. Decide if you feel the savings really outweigh the hassle and shipping/insurance cost you might experience if you ever need to claim on the retailers warranty (or if the battery flat on delivery, or they shipped you the wrong watch, or it got lost/broken during shipping)
3. If you still feel it's worthwhile, research the retailer, check the warranty situation and whether the serial number will be removed. I found the very cheapest are the cheapest for a reason. I was happy to pay a little more for better customer service. Jacob Time performed superbly and I would be very happy to use Jacob Time again."

"I began the purchasing process to buy a watch from jacobtime.com, but was shocked to find that a parcel weighing less than a lbs. would cost so much to ship! In addition, after checking with resellerratings.com, it does in fact turn out that although they list the original manufacturer's warranty as part of their sale, they are not authorized resellers and therefore cannot sell their watches with the should-be included warranty. Together, these two issues make it not worthwhile to purchase their products."

"Be careful. We placed an order for a watch with Jacobtime at a very attractive price, and were told that it was in stock. After a couple of days, the UPS tracking number we were given was still not valid; we called Jacobtime & they said that the item was NOT in stock, but were expecting delivery soon.

We did some research that should have been done before the order was placed, and discovered:

1. Jacobtime.com does NOT disclose their postal address. When I inquired about their postal address, they failed to provide it and asked why we wanted it.

2. They use a private domain registration service that hides their postal address.

2. Jacobtime does NOT provide a manufacturers warranty for the watches they sell & they are NOT an authorized reseller; Jacobtime provides their own warranty service.

We cancelled the order, and Jacobtime did remove the credit card charge from our account. "
