"Slightly more expensive than Futurlec, but after reading how many problems people have with Futurlec I decided to order from Jameco instead. It was a good decision.
Shipping was $6 for up to 1 pound via Priority Mail. Like any electronics store, you're better off to order a lot of stuff at once.

Highly recommended for people in the Sacramento area - they're close enough that my Priority Mail shipment arrived next day. They apparently filled my order within hours. The total turnaround from placing the order to package arriving was only about 30 hours.

Everything was well packaged and correct. They included a catalog which keeps me from having to search their web site. I'll happily order from them again."

"Another of those stores in which I had purchased materials on and off through the years. I usually purchase from them hard to find electronic components and I always been satisfied with them. This time I purchased some terminal power connectors and they had the lowest price around but the shipping was a bit expensive for such small items, even with that the price was still lower than other stores. "I first bought stuff from Jameco in 1980. My most recent two orders were (1) for cables and (2) for ICs. Both orders were handled flawlessly. This has always been the case over the 20 years that I've dealt with them.

I ordered the cables because I did not want to pay $20 for a 12 foot USB cable. Jameco had it for $6. Now, shipping costs make the deal a bit less sweet, so I figured I ought to think hard and add in more stuff that I need or might soon need ... their shipping costs rise only a tiny bit with additional ordered items. Very honest.

So I added a 2-way video/keyboard switch, only $10. That's less than what I was about to pay on an eBay auction ... and with Jameco I don't have to worry about the reputation of some unknown eBay seller. Also, I threw in a 50 foot CAT-5 network cable. I'd paid $22 for one at a retailer two years ago. But Jameco had it for $10.

I think I posted comments about Jameco before, but now I see that this site has been revamped, and now there are only a few comments about Jameco. My older comment(s) are not here. So I thought I'd redo my commentary.

I cannot recommend these guys too highly. Always honest. Always easy to deal with. Never ever ever have I had a problem with them.

They have a complete catalog that they send with your order, for easy offline browsing. So it's easy to find what you want. Their on-line ordering seems to exactly match their catalog.

All in all, totally excellent."

"Excellent selection of products and prices. The web order system provides plenty of email feedback with tracking numbers. Customer service responds to emails quickly.

Order details are attached to email as a PDF, though it looks like a scanned in page of text - I wonder why the system can't just put the order info directly into the body of the email.
