"Before I placed my order I called to verify that the bar stools that I wanted were 29" and not 26" because the description was a little misleading. I was assured that they were 29" so I went ahead and ordered them. When they arrived they were the 26" so I had to call and get a return. UPS picked them up and then I waited 2 weeks to call because I did my credit card was not credited. They told me that they received them and it would take up to 2 weeks to get refunded. Three weeks have gone by and still have not been refunded so I called again. They told me that they have not heard from the business that sent them so they were going to push the credit through and it will take 3-5 more business days. Not OK to wait over 30 days for a refund for something that was not my fault. I called my credit card and filed a dispute with them because who knows if they will really refund it. "
"For the first few months I had good experiences with Jet. Their prices were sometimes lower than *their competitor* and the few times there were issues with shipping (which I could understand because they are a new company), customer service was responsive.
I had even been using their JetAnywhere cashback service to make purchases on other websites in exchange for Jet credit.
That all changed a few weeks ago.
I was planning a home improvement project and spotted what appeared to be some great deals at Jet for some items I needed. I placed a big order for slightly over $1000. Some of the deals seemed almost too good to be true, but I thought worst case I would not get my entire order. A couple hours later I received a notification email they cancelled my order without explanation. I didn't make much of it at the time and figured they must be out of stock of some item.
A few days later I noticed I was unable to log in to my account.
I contacted their customer support who told me in an impersonal and generic reply that my account had been "suspended indefinitely" for "using single-use promotional codes multiple times, activity indicative of buying items for resale, or otherwise using our site or services in an unintended way."
I was taken aback and sent a reply explaining my reasons for my recent purchase which were personal and not against their terms. I politely requested that if they would not reinstate my account to please refund my store credit.
I am not allowed to post their reply here, but in summary Jet told me they had determined I had bought the items for "resale overseas" and therefore my store credit was "forfeited"!
My first thoughts were "'for resale, most likely overseas' are you ****ing kidding me?" Like I am going to buy Chinese made junk in America and ship it back to China?
What really gets me is the totally disingenuous and smarmy way they ended their communication "Thanks so much and have a great night."
The assertion was so ridiculous I was left speechless. How can one argue against a company that has reached such an outlandish conclusion? Considering they chose not to leave any name, I can only conclude that false accusations and theft (with a smile) are standard company policy.
I am unable to verify the amount of store credit I had because I cannot log in to my account, but I think it was around $60. The amount is enough to hurt but not enough to be worth suing. It feels like a schoolyard bully stealing your lunch money.
Jet is not a company to be trusted. Shop here if you want your money stolen and told *you* are the criminal. I have never experienced worse service.
Stick with *their competitor* if you value your time and have any self respect. Any pennies you might save at Jet are outweighed by grief."
"My friend recommended Jet to me for toiletries. I gave it a whirl, and before I even read my "your items have shipped" email on my first order, it was already at my apartment when I got home from work the very next day! Immediately I was hooked and started looking into everything they have to offer. The prices are great, and just recently I tried the grocery section. I am very impressed. It was packed well (and I know how hard it is to ship perishables!), arrived quickly and is of high quality. For a New Yorker finding anything that eliminates the need to stand in a long line or grocery shop in an overly crowded and over-priced Manhattan store, is a God send. "The order was correct and arrived sooner than I expected. The only thing that is negative is that I ordered a 12-pack of glass bottled juice. Even though the pack was bubble wrapped, individually within a box, two of the glass bottles were broken. When I arrived home I noticed that there was liquid under the box. At first I thought a dog had peed on it but once I opened the package I realized that it was juice from the broken bottles.
It most likely happened when it was loaded onto the delivery service truck or during tranportation. Nonetheless it's disappointing.
Other than that, I am satisfied."
