Website horrible

"KEH's current website ****. If I were not already a very happy customer, I would had gone elsewhere.

It also took too long for delivery once they shipped the merchandise and there was no way for me to track it. I could had taken Greyhound two or three times from the time I placed my order to the time I received it.

"I bought two lenses and two protective filters. Both lenses were graded "Excellent Plus" and your grading system clearly is tough because they both look like new to my untutored eye. I haven't used them yet (I'm still trying to learn about my new camera) but I'm certainly looking forward to it. I was comforted in making such a purchase by your warranty and return policy. If the lenses work as well as they look (and I fully expect them to), I will recommend you to all my friends."

Item needed repairs

"I purchased a Nikon EL2 on November 25, 2020 in LN- condition. I received the camera on November 28, 2020. Unfortunately the camera had a jumpy meter and the mirror lockup did not move up all the way up to the mirror bumper to allow easy access to the battery.

The meter issue seems to stem from the lens aperture following ring on the bayonet mount. The mirror lockup does not swing all the way up to the mirror bumper so that I can easily insert and remove the battery from the mirror box. It appears the pin on the inside of the mirror box that is moved by the outer mirror lockup lever is bending downward—it is not straight. The result is that the mirror only moves up by only a small amount, and removing the battery tends to be risky to the safety of both the mirror and shutter curtains.

Erik Kenmore of Keh responded to my email saying the camera did not meet LN- grading scale as advertised. I was offered the option of a return or repair. I opted to have the camera repaired if possible (Erik updated notes regarding having a repair done even though the enclosed invoice indicates a return). I returned the camera via FedEx on November 30, 2020 to have it assessed by Keh. I also added to my notes in the return that if a repair is not possible, I will be okay with a refund as the alternative. I am hoping to have everything resolved as soon as possible.
