"I found their advertising misleading. There was an advertisment saying they would provide free shipping to Australia for any purchase over $100.
When trying to check out online, the promocode did not work. I sent an email to their customer service department informing them, along with a screen shot. A lady named Jennifer said she'd supply me with a refund of the shipping costs once I made the purchase and then sent her the order number.
I did this and sent the order confirmation number, and then a different customer service rep (Shelly-Ann) said that unfortunately they couldnt do it, as the items were restricted and couldnt have the shipping costs waived.
At no time was this indicated on the advertising that was on the screenshot or was this told by previous interactions with customer service.
I have previously used karmaloop numerous times for well over $1500 of clothes, however after this incident, this will be the last.

"This was my third order with Karmaloop and sadly my last. I am a Canadian customer and usually the package comes quick and the products are great but i have to pay duty on it around 20$ which is no big deal, they warn you that there might be. I placed an order with them and picked standard shipping like i always do and it came 5 business days later. But when i went to pick up the package there was a cash on delivery of 81$!!! I guess they ship it to the DHL head quarters in GERMANY and then send it back to Canada and then you pay an additional shipping charge. I called the company three times and got no sympathy at all. The kept saying it was out of their hands. I wish i knew that there was going to be any additional shipping charge before it came. The company told me to refuse it but if i do they are going to put my account on hold....Thanks Karmaloop. If your an international customer beware of additional charges and poor customer service."
