"I had old pair of Zeiss binoculars which needed repair. Kay optical (someone called Tony) suggested I send them for an estimate. Despite 6 months of e-mails and a letter to the directors I have received no replies, no estimate. Binoculars have vanished and I can't even get an acknowledgement as to whether or not they arrived. They have been stolen by someone and as Kay optical has not replied to me at all I must assume they have been stolen by them."
"I visited Kay Optical, Morden on 26th July and gave my scope to Tony for repair. He gave me a ball-park figure of three weeks to repair. I emailed him on the 5th August ("I know you said that you most likely had to send it away and it could take up to three weeks to return, but could give me an update please?) I got no response!
Over the past 4 months he continued to fob me off with stories of parts being unavailable, or in transit, and then the parts were received incorrect. He never once returned a phone call in all this time.
Eventually I collected the scope on 29th November (18 weeks later) unrepaired as I had reached the end of my tether.
I gave the scope to another company the following Monday and had it back repaired two days later. They said that the scope hadn`t even been opened, and that it was simply a bolt that had come loose in the mechanism.

Then i asked my creditcard company to return the money, but they told me that it was to late.

Do not buy from these people unless you want to get ripped-off. Kay Optical & Sage Pay are nothing but CROOKS. THIEVES. Beware of these guys. Both these CROOKS are located in the London area of Great Britain. Steer clear of these guys whatever you do.
On September 15, 2009 I placed an order for a Leica Digital Adaptor from them for digiscoping for $263.67. A couple of days later I contacted them to cancel the purchase of this item after I found an online merchant here in the states that shipped me the item. I attempted to contact them several times both by phone and my email. They took my money but gave me nothing but excuses. These idiots went so far to say as it was “my problem”
A month later, in October, I pursued a refund through the bank for Visa.
Here it is mid-January and finally my account was credited for the amount that was due me.
Sage Pay is the payment collection arm of this monster. Sage Pay is the British equivalent to Pay Pal and like Pay Pal it SUCKS!!!. They did nothing to help me get my money back. I looked at the ratings of Pay Pal and they too suck!!!
They charged my visa card in the amount of £159.00 ($263.67) for merchandise which I have not received and did not want.
I am cross posting this report for both Kay Optical & Sage Pay. Originally I searched reselleratings for any report on Kay Optica & Sage Pal l but nothing is entered until my complaint.
