"Got several years service out of the honeywell air cleaner. Yesterday a bearing seized in the fan.

So the thing is in the recycle bin now. Don't think I will buy another kaz honeywell air cleaner.

Made in Mexico. Someone picked the wrong bearing when designing this thing.

"these people are lost. simple question about an older model hcm6009 using to much water after changing out filter. on line phone rep was way off base, no help, i would guess he did not even read email. called and got a dumber guy on the phone and he was clueless, would only repeat himself. zero support because of zero rep."

"I bought a Honeywell HCM-6009 in March 2014. Kaz is the manufacturer and uses Honeywell as the name under which its products get distributed. Now less than 1 year later I notice beads of water leaving from a seam between the clear plastic and the white plastic on the long edge of one of my humidifier's water tanks.

The seam may have been faulty from the beginning but I just noticed that the leak is the source of water drops i have noticed before.

I called Kaz customer service and was told water tanks are not under the one year warranty.

It seems to me a company should stand behind its product. The leak is due to no fault of mine and the product was only used in the normal way for three months since I bought it.

"This company is full of scam. I ordered a humidifier from them and they back ordered it. I called right away asked what had happened. The rep told me the item that I placed order was not in stock. No e-mail about it. Nobody even informed me that it would take 3 weeks. I will NEVER deal with them again."

"Unbelievably bad service. I placed and confirmed an order which needed to be back-ordered. They automatically cancelled the order without notifying me shortly thereafter. The only reason I discovered it was when I went to check the order status after 2 and half weeks had passed. Avoid using them if you have any interest in knowing when or if you will receive a product."

"Incredible price and good customer service. I ordered a Honeywell air purifier and after using a coupon got it for about $40 less than I could get it anywhere else. I ordered on a Saturday and hadn't gotten a confirmation email as of Tuesday. However, I sent a email to customer service asking and had a response within an hour. They were in the process of preparing the order for shipping. The same day I received a shipping confirmation with UPS tracking #. I received the item brand new and well packaged the next Monday via UPS.
I would buy from them again.

"Initial order arrived quickly (3 or 4 days), but the humidifier base was cracked (no damage to package itself). First customer service rep gave me wrong instructions for UPS return. Wasted trip to UPS. Second rep said they had to mail (and couldn't just e-mail???) a .pdf shipping label and couldn't send out a replacement humidifier till they received the defective one. Wish I'd just bought a humdifier in a store. "

10-10-2010: I CHECKED Shipping Status (online/my account/kaz.com) ...
Status = On Backorder

When I ordered online, the email I then received said:
"You should receive your order within 7-10 business days".

2 days later it shows up as, 'ON BACKORDER'!
WHY DIDN'T THEY SAY IT WAS 'NOT IN STOCK', WHEN I ORDERED?!?!?!

10-12-2010: I called Kaz Customer Service (1-***-***-****) about this item being on Backorder. The polite customer service person said it should only be on backorder another day. I was satisfied with that answer & opted to wait it out a day or 2, to see if this is correct.

10-12-2010: I received an email from Kaz stating my item had been shipped. (This was to be via UPS, & a tracking # was included).

10-14-2010: I received the item, as was described at the Kaz website. The item was by the 'Protec' company. (I believe it is a lower quality than other brands out there are, & the lower price reflects that).

From start/order date to finish/receipt date, I had my item in 6 day, which is totally acceptable to me, + the lowest price I could find on the internet. I am very pleased & would order from Kaz again.

"OMG, this company is full of scam. I ordered a humidifier from them and they sent me a similar but different product instead. I called right away asked what had happened. The CSR told me the item that I placed order was not in stock. WHAT THE XXXX!!??? So they choose to send me a different item without my consent???? They kindly? informed me that it would take 3 WEEKS!!! to refund my money... !!!! I will NEVER deal with them again."

"Ordered a Honeywell fan from Kaz, Inc. on 4/19/09 (a Sunday), and received it on 4/23 (Thursday). Shipping was a bit expensive (over $7) compared to what I'm usually willing to pay, but they had the best deal on the fan I could find. Product is as described. I'm happy, overall."

"This is the worst online reseller I ever dealt with. After placing an order, I received a confirmation email which said the item will be shipped out with-in 3-5 business days. One week later, the order was still on "in process" status. So I called customer service. They told me the order is in shipping queue and should be shipped out around 4:00PM that day. One day later, there is no any confirmation email sent to me so I called again. This time the customer service told me my order was back ordered, and needs another 2 business days! What the hell! Why nobody told me my order was on back order at the beginning, or on my first customer call?! Anyway, I will never deal with this company again!"

"I placed my first order with Kaz to purchase some filters that were hard to find. I was a litle hesitant to order from this company as they have no ratings/reviews. I ordered 6 filters, received 2. I sent Kaz an email and a fax regarding the discrepancy. Within an hour of my fax, a customer rep called me, and stated they would send the missing filters (which I did receive). My email was answered also, but the rep knew I had talked to someone on the phone - and to contact them again if it was not resolved. I am very pleased with their customer service!"
