"My experience with KeepCalling.com was not good. I purchased a $5 block of minutes for my wife to call her sister in South Korea. KeepCalling.com advertises that if you use your cell phone you will only be billed for local minutes if you use one of their local access numbers.

My wife called two different local access numbers, both located in our local area code. I set the account up to be PIN-less when used with her cell phone. When she received the prompt to dial the international number, she called her sister. On two of the calls she dialed the number herself. On the third one, she used the Speed Dial key that I had programmed in for her sister.

This afternoon I received a text message from my cell phone carrier that I had exceeded $100 in international long distance charges. WTF? I checked with KeepCalling.com, and they told me that their records only show one successful call was made and it lasted just over one minute. I checked with my carrier's call log online and it shows that my wife dialed the KeepCalling access number before each of her calls, and then it is immediately followed by a call to Korea - using my carrier's regular rates of $3.55 per minute!

KeepCalling.com's tech support claims that my carrier somehow intercepted her call and disconnected it from KeepCalling.com's local access number and rerouted the call through my carrier's service. Apparently, they did this instantaneously and silently so that my wife was never aware of it. Yeah right. These guys are scam artists and you are risking your money if you give it to them."
