"I was initially excited when I purchased this item. It was shipped and delivered quickly and everything appeared in good working order. I have a nice section of woods behind my home that I was excited to go treasure hunting in. I read the operating instructions a few times before using the metal detector and seem to get lots of "false" readings. I even "deselected" some of the metals it would detect and still got hits. Once I started digging and scanning the area just dug the signals would stop?? Which was confusing and somewhat discouraging. I don't know if it's me or the metal detector, that is why I'm giving it this rating. "
