"I ordered two metal detectors, a Garrett AT Pro and AT gold. The AT Gold came with the Adventure kit and arrived in a non-retail, white box. Perhaps that is standard for Adventure kits, but the AT Pro (not part of an Adventure kit) came in a nice retail full color printed retail box.
The AT Gold I received appeared to have been returned previously. Although the until appears to work okay, when I buy something "new", I would like for it to have not signs of being used.
Lastly, the free items that are included as part of the options are a bit of a joke. I have no need or desire to sew a patch promoting a metal detector reseller on my clothing. The metal pinpointer that I received as part of the free option is clunky to use and cheaply made. Lastly, the zipper on the backpack I received as part of the free option fell off, making the backpack useless. In short, all of the items offered in option 1 and option 2 when you purchase a metal detector are clearly made in China and are essentially useless. Don't be tempted to purchase a metal detector in order to get these extra "free" items. Like I said, the metal detectors I purchased appear to work fine, but I think that's directly related to the fact that Garrett makes good products."
