"i puchased a kitchen from kitchens direct and when it arrived some things were missing also the oven was dented. I complained but after many phone calls my complaint fell on deaf ears so i left it. Now after 5 months the oven isn't working properly. I have sent them two emails but unsurprisingly they haven't responded. I shall wait a few more days and phone trading standards.
I will never buy anything from this company again."
"Before I placed my order, I was assured by a Megan DuSell at KitchenDirect (follow-up with me directly for the email thread) that the items I was intending on ordering were in-stock. Today is the 17th, and the website order tracking reads backordered. I followed up with customer service via phone today but was told conflicting information; "the items might have shipped, I'll get back to you".
Prior to making my order with KitchenDirect I had cancelled a similar order I made at http://www.chefsresource.com/ because ChefsResource actually told me AFTER I placed the order that the items would be delayed due to stocking issues. ChefsResource contacted me with estimated shipping dates, but OFFERED to cancel my order, and did so, after confirming this with me.
I'll know in a day or so if KitchenDirect simply misrepresented their stock prior to my order."
"I ordered two items from this vendor on 12/13. The site said 5-7 days turn around on the order. As of 12/21 there was no status information on the order. I called 12/21 to find out what was happening to the order. A girl there said that she would call me back the next day with a status. As of 12/27 I still have not heard from her, but the on-line order status now says that one of the items is back ordered till 12/28. The best part is that this company charged by credit card for the order on the day the order was placed two weeks ago. Also they charged my card three times for the same order. Their customer service department was friendly and did have the over charges credited to my account. But overall I am not happy with the service they provided. It took them 14 days to update my order status, which is not acceptable when they say that an order should ship within 5-7 days of the order and they never got back to me. At this point I do not believe that I will order from this site again."
