"My last order from Nov 2020 (100 clock movements) had a failure rate of more than 10%. I tried multiple times to contact Klockit in December as well as in January to get this resolved. Zero response - finally filed a complain with the BBB. I have been a Klockit customer for many years (I bought ~ 1000 movements over the years). The quality issues with these Q80 movements are not new - but they have been in the 1-2% rate. Looks like it is time to buy directly from China - you get a faster response."
"I purchased the Dearborn wall clock plans and component package. I had a question about a dimension in constructing the clock body and couldn’t reach them through phone or email. I figured it out for myself but when I unwrapped the glass front panel some of the black paint was scratched off or something in one corner. It was obviously like that when they shipped it. The box and all wrapping was completely intact when I received it. I tried over and over to call them to see if there was something special I should try to paint it with. I never could get through on any number. They never answered any emails. I am very disappointed in this company. I bought some things from them several years ago and had much better luck. "
"I had no problems placing my on-line order for a Westminster Chime Pendulum Movement. Fast shipping next business day. Arrived early. Was easy to install and a perfect fit. Is currently working as it should. I intend to buy one for another clock. Thank you very much!"
"I had troubles with the initial online order but was finally able to create an order and received a confirmation email. But a week later I hadn't received the items and checked the order status on their website to find that the order had been cancelled.
From the time I created the order I had received numerous spam advertising emails from Klockit, but no notice that the order had been cancelled!
I went to call them only to find their telephone hours are limited so wrote them an email instead inquiring about the order. Days later I have yet to receive a response.
So I gave up on them. The numerous other reviews here indicate what I've discovered as well - this is a company that isn't worth wasting your time on. If indeed the items had shipped I'd have no expectation of any customer service from them regarding warranty or returns given my experience as they apparently don't respond to contact attempts.
Just a ridiculous waste of time trying to order from this company."
"It is really too bad. The former owners of Klockit were actually clock people. They had a great technical service department, a wonderful customer service attitude and a broad inventory of plans and movements. For a woodworker like me, ordering the blueprints and building a complicated case was a wonderful hobby. They specified the movement the plans were designed to use and you could purchase the plans and the movement plus hardware from them as a "kit." If there was any problem along the way, you could count on the technical support to help you resolve it. Those owners would have received a 5-star rating.
Then the company was sold to people who wanted to run Klockit like a parts warehouse. These folks have no technical expertise and no concept of customer service. They run an operation with convenient hours for themselves, they dropped their 800 number and don't answer their phone, they have a ridiculously restrictive ordering process, they closed the storefront, fired the technical people, prohibit any hint of negativity or complaint on their Facebook page and destroyed the entire character of the Klockit many of us have, through the years, been delighted to work with.
It doesn't seem to occur to these new owners that they purchased a niche business serving dedicated hobbyists that have and would spend hundreds of dollars with them. They are trying to be a "take-it-or-leave-it" warehouse rather than a clock-building resource for serious craftsmen... and they are so incredibly inept that they probably have no idea why they get such horrible reviews. So sad."
"Klockit will not reply to emails and will not return phone calls either. My order included an extra pair of hands for my clock as the ones included with the mechanism are not appropriate. I have reached out to Klockit numerous times by phone and email. No response!! Will order from them again. "
"To be fair I have ordered many times over the years and have had a satisfactory experience. Until yesterday. I called to order a movement for a really large clock, needed guidance, so I called the 800# in the FAQ section. Got the message the # was not in service, called back in case I misdialed, not in service again. I called the # in 'Contact Us', got through, had my questions answered, then went online to order movement suggested. After entering billing information, a little wheel started spinning right away with the message "processing your order". There was also a "Place your order" link, which I hit, but nothing happened. Before I aborted and tried again, I called customer service to describe the problem, they said an order had not come in, so I should try again, I wouldn't get two haha. I did that with same results. Getting upset, I called back to place a manual order, hit the #1 prompt ("place order") but was disconnected right away. Tried again, hit #1, disconnected. Called back yet again (not sure why), at 10:45 am PST, hit #2 ("technical support") and got a message saying something like "We are currently closed, please call back during normal business hours....." BUT they didn't say WHAT 'normal business hours' are?? I assumed they were out to lunch, so I'm supposed to guess when their lunch hours were?? No thanks, Klockit had wasted enough of my time, so a quick search on the web and I found several companies who sell the same thing, picked one, ordered the movement I needed in a couple of minutes. And by the way, the out-of-service 800# is still on their site. NOTE: tried to submit review but needed invoice #, as I never got to submit my order, there is no invoice # so just entered 12345."
"I ordered 3 clock faces online on a Sunday night. They were closed but the order was in the computer. A few hrs. after I ordered, I realized I should have ordered hands to go with the faces. I called them on Monday morning at 8:15 CT, 15 minutes after they opened. I told the service rep what I wanted to do and told her I was trying to avoid another $8 shipping charge for the hands. She said "No, it's packaged and about to be loaded on the truck". Really--15 minutes after they open it's packaged and "about to loaded on the truck"? I said OK, cancel the order. She said "No. I can't do that. You can refuse to accept the shipment and we'll refund everything but the $8 shipping cost." I have never, ever encountered a company that has not shipped your order but refuses to cancel the order. I read over their "policy" and, sure enough, YOU CAN'T CANCEL AN ORDER ONCE IT"S PLACED. Also, their policy on contacting them says they will not accept complaints about customer service. Wow. I'm done with these Neanderthals and will take my business to Ronnel Clock.

"FIRST TIME PIECE BROKE IN HALF . . REPLACEMENT IS OFF THREE MIN. EVERY HOUR . . PURE JUNK . . "
"I ordered 10 quartz movements but ordere the wrong size. I had to ship the entire order (including hands and assembly parts that I wanted) back to them at my cost then reorder. I spoke to a representative who helped me choose the correct then placed a new order (including the same hands and assembly parts). I ordered a 5/16" shaft but when they came I got a 7/16" shaft! This is acceptable to them because they don't really measure the shaft length but how much is left after you insert the washer in the back. Instead of offering to send me the shaft length I ordered they explained that I really did have a 5/16" shaft plus an extra 2/16" for free. I will never purchase from them again. "
"I have been buying from Klockit for the past year, and no real issues, UNTIL NOW!! I placed an order on Thursday evening, and since I need the parts for Sunday, I upgraded to 2 day shipping. When I hit send on the order, the confirmation sheet showed standard shipping. I immediately sent them an email stating this,. in the mean time I receive a "confirmation" email, and not only is the shipping wrong, but the number of Items is incorrect as well. I call them first thing the next day, and get things straightened out. Well, Saturday comes, no Shipment, Sunday comes, no shipment. It finally arrives on Monday. SO I call them and speak with Heather, she tells me " tow day shipping takes two to three days" ???? I inform her that it has been four, she then informs me that no, it has been two days, they don't deliver on weekends. There at no point during the transaction is ANY thing that states that two day shipping takes three days, and only Monday Through Friday. I am then dismissed, at which time I send and email stating what I just wrote here, which was responded to by MANDY, what a lovely pair these tow are!!! I have since informed them there will be no more orders with there company. This was met with a mix of who cares and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Heres the thing, we have a clock company that has just taken off, and we are going national with our clocks and will be buying large quantities of parts, but not from Klockit!!!!!"
"I wanted to use these mechanisms (Quartex) in wooden clocks I make for sale.
No way I can. The batteries are hard to insert and next to impossible to remove.
Very inconvenient for my customers and hard on the clocks.
It really doesn't matter though. I have yet to find a mechanism that works: I insert a battery. nothing happens.
Customer service is blase at best.
Avoid this company."
"Ordered an economy movement kit for a grandfather clock. Order was shipped quick , everything came with Fedex ground neatly packaged in three separate parcels. The kit arrived with excellent assembly manual and I got the clock working after just two evenings of pretty relaxed assembly. It looks like a five grand clock now and sounds almost the same. Great deal overall since you cannot beat the price even if you try to get this movement directly from manufacturer. I used a coupon to get a 15% discount. What is great about mechanical movements from Klockit, you can get exact dimensions and mounting pattern before you buy."
"My problem is the bad experience with the ordering from Klockit. First problem is I selected "two day" shipping when I ordered it as I needed it quickly to meet a deadline. 5 days later I called to ask about the order and was told my request for "two day" did not show up on their order documents. They told me at the time they had processed and packed the order and it was waiting to be shipped. I asked them to expedite shipping since it had not yet been shipped and was told "we can't do that as we have already processed the order. (Even though they had not shipped the order and I was willing to pay to expedite.) Three days later they actually shipped that order! It took over 12 days before I received the clock. Very frustrating at how incredibly poor their order management and shipping process has been.
Then, they asked me to write a review. I wrote same comments you see above in this review. They sent me a note saying they were not going to publish my review on their site. So, in addition to being poor at logistics and not being willing to help a customer, they are also dishonest in hiding negative reviews. "
"Ordered an atonic clock movement to repair a very nice poolside clock that stopped working. Prompt shipping and easy replacement. With it's radio synchronizing signal and it's Quartz movement, it was suppose to be 'crazy accurate'. New movement worked for about one week and then displayed all BUT the correct time. Did all of the things to correct it, new battery, reset button, another new battery, etc. Called Klockit, they assured me this was a one-in-a-thousand BAD movements. Sent me a replacement. It work 5 days and did the same thing. I even took movement out of clock and taped it to a wall far, far from anything that might interfere with radio signal. With new battery in place, it too worked about a week. "
