"This was my first and last time of ordering anything from Kotula's. On May 12, 2019 I submitted my online order and got a confirmation email so I assumed all was well. On May 15th I get an email stating my order had shipped. The very next morning May 16th I received another email stating I wouldn't receive my merchandise until JUNE 24 due to being on back order. I called Kotula's number and was told by representative Don that my order had shipped the previous day. I told him about the "back order" email and he said to let him check and put me on hold. He came back and said yes it was on back order, but I wouldn't get it until JULY. I told him that was unacceptable and to cancel the order. He said he saw where I had called the day before to cancel my order. I told him that I had not called the previous day or any other day prior to that. My only call was the current call I was on with him. After a few more rounds of conflicting confusion he said he was canceling my order as we spoke... after I told him I was calling my credit card company about the matter.
Within minutes of that call I received another email stating that I couldn't cancel because my order had shipped and I would be charged a 15% restocking fee if I refused the order when it came. This time the email came from Northern Tools which apparently are one and the same company with Kotula's. I called the phone number on that email to try and find out what was going on with my order. Was the merchandise on it's way or not? The representative looked into the order and came back and told me there were conflicting emails that were sent out.... REALLY? She had to put me on hold and call FED-EX to find out if my order was shipped or not. My order was on it's way, but I was caused a lot of aggravation and confusion of not knowing if it was on back order or shipped. NEVER AGAIN."
